i put in my application, resume, portfolio and schedule for the mac counter @ bloomies

hoenstly i dont feel that confident in even getting a call back since i have absolutly zero experience in makeup other than doing it for aspiring models on photoshoots. but i've got about 5 years experience in retail. anyways keep your fingers crossed because i need a JOB Like you wouldnt believe!!

you dont have to have experience in make up,at least i don't think lol.i'm sure they will love ya!!! good luck!!! i know i'd wanna have ya work at my counter if i were them. :::crosses fingers::: good luck girlie

I had absolutely no retail experience when I put in my application & only 2 weeks retail/makeup (Victoria's Secret Beauty) when I interviewed. Other than that, my makeup experience was limited to personal and stage application. I don't know how I got the job, but I did.
As long as your schedule is what they need & you made it clear that you are really interested in makeup you'll get the call back. Models on photoshoots is really good experience.

I could be mistaken, but I think makeup is similar to Graphic Design (my major), and I think your portfolio and/or product can get you a job, moreso than your experience, in many cases.

bloomies never called me back!!! how RUDE!! well eff them! i applied for ANY cosmetic counter @ nordstrome. at least those peopel get comission and are paid hourly. id rather work with some nasty girl who wouldnt help me rather than not get paid ..right? yeaa i'll let you guys know how it works out

I applied summer of '05 and they called me back after Christmas for an interview...so don't give up all hope if they don't call you back right away.

lol so true - they called me back yesterday - a damn month later!! well i have an interview on monday and im not feelin good about it because i have a lot on my plate right now and not that many hours that i can work but we'll c how it goes
