Went to Culturebloom event last night...

I went to my MAC store's CultureBloom event last night. It was really crowded, I was supposed to get in at 7:30 but I didnt get in until almost 8:15. They had a semi organized system with Checklists to speed up the process of getting people's purchases ready to ring up, but the girl I gave mine to lost it and I had to wait almost an hour before I realized that they'd never gotten my bag. However, I got Overgrown e/s, Lavender Sky e/s, Iris Print e/s, Culturebloom Lipstick and Budding lustreglass.

For those who want the Lavender Underground eye kohl, but don't do well with eye kohls (I dont, I rub my eyes and tear a lot due to allergies) get non conformist fluidline. It looks just like Lavender Underground minus the pearlesence.

Yay! FOTDs to come...

Is overgrown similar to Chartreuse pigment?

I was so pissed. I was sitting there forever and nobody could help me they just kept saying that they were "busy so it would be a while" since all the artists were busy helping people and getting the baskets ready. But then I found a really nice girl who was willing to grab my stuff and ring me up really quickly. But I dont like the Fashion Valley MAC store, its sooooo tiny. The one closer to my house is like massive compared to that one.

I dont know, I've never used Chartreuse pigment.

It's very similar to bitter though, except that its a satin so it doesnt have the glitter flecks that bitter has, and I find bitter to be much brighter. Overgrown is easy to play down, IMO.

If you layer something light (like Beige-ing shadestick or Base Light Paint) underneath Chartreuse pigment, you will get very, very close to Overgrown (which is why I am not buying it).

I went to the event at MAC Flat Iron in NYC. It was crowded as hell and I didn't have an appointment until 8 however it was freezing out so they let me in at 7:30 instead. It was so packed that I could barely see the display but I bought a few things, anyway. They were actually pretty good at getting our orders here *shrugs*

I went to the Flatiron one as well. It was uber crowded. It was supposed to start at 6:30 but they didn't let people in until after 7. I only bought 3 piece from Culturebloom (overgrown e/s, Budding l/g and culturebloom l/s) but I did buy a ton of other stuff.

The MA's were really great at getting orders together...but I get a bit panicky in crowded places so I speed shopped and bounced. My husband was really excited to be able to finally meet the manager Ron who's apparently his MAC connection for birthdays and holidays.
