Not sure if this was posted, I looked, couldn't find, if so then just leave a link...
Anywho, I'm not too educated on the MSF's and still don't know exactly what they do, at MAC she said it's a highlight, on here I've read it's like a set/blot powder.

You can do a lot with MSFs. Depending on which ones you get and your skin tone. People use MSF naturals as sheer foundation or to set their foundation (liquid foundation). Some can be used as hightlighters or blushes depending on how light or dark your complexion. You can even use them over a blush to make them pop. I use for example Perfect Topping MSF over Tippy Blush. It makes the lavender/purple show up on my cheeks.

So, MSFN (Mineralized Skinfinish Natural) can be used to set foundation, but to my knowledge it has no blotting capabilities, definitely none that I have noticed. MSFN gives satin, slightly glowy finish to the face. I am NW45 and I wear Deep Dark but some people on here have mentioned that Dark works for them.

As far as the colorful MSF's (which I DO NOT suggest using over your entire face) Gold Deposit is great, and currently available as it is on the Mineralize Displayer. Also Brunette, So Ceylon, and Petticoat if you can find them, and then a host of others that were released some time ago like Warmed, Glissade, Global Glow, Northern Lights. MSF's can be used to highlight or can be layered over blush.

This thread should help you a lot:
