What do you do with the sponges?

Hello! I'm a recent convert to MAC products. I bought the Studio Fix Foundation, Blot Pressed Powder, the Select Cover up and a disc sponge. I'm wondering what I should do with the sponge that came with the Studio Fix. I know they can be cleaned/reused and it would be a shame to throw it out but how many do you actually need?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if you should use the sponge to apply it? That's a personal preference kind of thing. I prefer a brush for Studio Fix, but I do use sponges for Moistureblend. Try it and if you don't like it try a brush instead. But if you're talking about storage then you can just keep it inside the compact. Washing them is fine but I actually just use one for a couple days and then toss it. It's easier haha. I buy the wedge sponges from Walmart, it's a lot cheaper.

I keep the sponge with it and use it in places I need a little more coverage like under the eye and stuff. I usually apply my studio fix with a 187 brush.

I use a foundation brush as well. I find that with sponges you use up your product WAY quicker, and a lot of it goes unused, as it's just soaked up into the sponge. If you do like to use sponges, use the one you got, and I recommend getting wedges at Walmart or any other place that sells drugstore makeup, because they're cheap, but good (like prinzessin said) HTH

You can use the sponge if you like but please remember if you do use the brush that comes with the compact to replace it every other week depending on how often you use it. The sponges will hold bacteria which is why people who use sponges often by them in bulk and just dispose of the used ones.
