What do you think of CCBs?

I was going through old makeup and found Fantastic Plastic, and Pearl. I have only used these a few times, they just don't do much for me. The fantastic plastic especially, it doesnt show up on my pale skin (nc20). I get mad when I think about them.

What do you guys use the CCB's for? I tried them on my cheeks and brow bones.

You can use them as a base for eyeshadow. For example, I tried Silver and Slick as a base and put Electra and Siver Ring over them. It made the colors a lot more vibrant.

Co-sign on the base for eyeshadow thing.

I think they work especially well with pigments, since paint doesn't grab them well enough (in my experience, anyway).

I know what you mean. I had Sundrenched, and I simply had no use for it. It looked nice on my cheeks, but it was so greasy to the touch. I gave it to my mom, who has drier skin than I do, so she can use that kind of stuff.

i only have gold ccb... i was a little dissappointed too because it doesnt show up on my skin too well but as a base under neutrals it works great!!!

I don't care for the CCB's either. I went into the store to get a Bare Canvas Paint the other day (I had never tried paints, and I wanted a 'base' for my eyeshadow)....and the MA totally turned me off of paints and told me I should get a CCB. I got Fawntastic, and after applying my makeup the next day (I was wearing blue on my eyelids) I looked in the mirror about an hour later and it was a big ole crease of blue. Ugly! Needless to say I am going to have to switch over to paints...hopefully they won't crease.

Has anyone used Neutrogena Shimmer Sheers? I use them like paints and they don't crease at all on me!...(well, maybe after 10+ hours of wearing it) I love 'em, and they're cheap!!!

I love the Neutrogena shimmer Sheers...I have a few of these in my kit and I use them instead of Paints (with the exception of Graphito)...they're great!

I have that just sit unused. I have tried to use them a few times but they crease on me wear off fast.
I use the Sephia mid-tone one a bit more than I use Shell and Pearl but I'd say I've used them all a total of 5 times.

I'm with you I can't get them to really work for me. I think it's my skin texture. Even with paints as a base the CCB's still crease on me.

Yupp. Weird. And it's not like I have oily skin or anythign either. It's as normal as it gets. So it's shadesticks, paints, eye kohls & powerpoint liners.
I use my kohls and powerpoints as a base for the lid most though, and they work better than anything! I've put them on at 6am and everything is right where I put it when I get home at 8pm or later

i love my shell ccb. it makes such a pretty shimmery base for everything and it doesn't crease... well, that could be since i don't HAVE an eye crease

i apply just a small film of pearl on my lids before i apply shadow, and it doesn't crease. It kind of depends on if you have oily/dry eyelids and how much eyeshadow you're packing on...but for me it works fine. I also use pearl to highlight my face and under my eyebrows.

actually now that i work for mac and use more of their products, ccbs are excellent for underneath shadow. key is to use paint first all over, then apply ccb only on the lid, where you will be applying the most color, and then when you apply the shadow, pack it on over it instead of swirling around. it really allows forbetter blending because it doesnt dry and set as quickly as paints and shadesticks

an MA told me this cause i told him the paints don't help with showing vibrant colors and crease...i told him i ussually stick with Luna...he said try paint then the CCB over it
I personally like CCB's i use them more than my paints

I use them as a base right over my Paints... They won't crease that way on me (I have oily lids and alone they will crease in under 5 min!!). I love them bc they intensify the color/sparkle and let the e/s REALLY pack on!

That's exactly what I do, paint first and then a little CCB on top and I have no creasing at all. And it makes every e/s look so vibrant.
