What exactly is MAC's Lipgelee?

Hi - sorry for the proably obvious question - however, I'm fairly new to MAC and the nearest MAC store is 2 and 1/2 hours away - so I have to order everything online - sight unseen!

What exactly is the Lipgelee? Does it wear more like a gloss or a lipstick? Or somewhere in between?

Some of the new ones from MAC in Lillyland appeal to me, however, I DESPISE lip gloss - no matter how hard I try - I just cannot wear lip gloss - the texture is too slippery for me. I hate when the wind blows my hair and it sticks to my lips, I hate when I smoke the lip gloss gets every where, etc. etc.

So with that in mind, would I be happy with the texture of Lipgelee, or is it so much like gloss that I should pass?

TIA!

It's a gloss. However, it's a much less stickier version of Mac's regular glosses. They glide right on and feel nice, but they are still a gloss.

I only have one, but I definitely like the formula over the traditional lipglass formula... very light and not sticky. I have Valentine's, and it also applies sheer which is nice. But still does attract hair when it's windy... *sigh*

yeah if you don't like slippery feeling things do not go for the lip gelees! that's why i'm not bothering. i like glosses but i have slippery-ness!

I LOVE lipgelee. I think they are much better than lipglosses. Less goopy and sticky. They are slick but in a good way, kinda like how a lip balm feels but different. I have Sheboom which was a LE, it's supposed to be a bit more pigmented then some regular lipgelees which are pretty sheer.

^I love lipgelees as well. I have Moistly (super pigmented for a gloss), Saplicious, and Jellybabe. Funny, I just looked for Jellybabe on the MAC website, and it's no longer listed. Please don't tell me it's discontinued.
