What is a fair trade value for Parrot??

I'm trying to arrange a swap (elsewhere) and the swapper is insistent on me telling her what value of items she can get and I am clueless. Thanks for any advice anyone can offer. Dawn

In my honest opinion the regular price $13.50 At max $16.
There's too many colors that are similar.
Just my opinion.

It usually goes for around $30, and it's being going for that much pretty steadily. But if you don't feel comfortable charging more than a few bucks over retail, don't. I paid a good amount for Parrot and NEVER touch it. It's probably going on LJ this weekend.

Parrot goes regularly for $60 - $70 when sold as a pot on eBay. A person who really wants it will pay that (I paid about $35 on German eBay months ago, and I feel like I got a great deal).

that's quite silly how much people charge for this eyeshadow!! i mean, it's probably cheaper buying 2 eyeshadows that can be combined to make a colour similar to parrot- i know it won't be exactly the same and all but for one eye shadow paying $60 -$70??? wow, that's really something!

I agree with the $60-$70 on Ebay. The bidding gets insane. I think no more than $20 is a good price.

Here's an online chat I just had with MAC the other day regarding Parrot:

me: Hi Sara, I was wondering if MAC ever plans to re-release the shadow Parrot?

me: It's a lovely color but it goes for like $60+ on ebay

Sara: We don't have any plans to relaunch Parrot at this time, but there is a new shadow launching in a few days called Blue Absinthe that is very similar. It's part of our Ornamentalism collection, launching in-store Oct 20th.

i actually saw it go for over 100 on ebay... that's CRAZY though...

My thoughts... even if they were to release, they would never tell you anyways. I emailed them about both Parrot and Blue pigment this past June and was called back stating neither would be released in the future... lo and behold, not a month later Blue pigment makes a reappearance. In my opinion, you never know but they definitely won't show their cards.
