What is SKUS?

Ok...this might sounds stupid, but I dont care coz i have been searching for the meaning of SKUS and still dont know what it means

for far too long (10 mins

.) What is it stands for? I read this on macpro website

"No more than 3 transactions per 31 days (1 month) of multiple of the skus"

Can somebody explain what it means to me..I mean I kind of understand it (you shouldn't buy the same eye shadows more than 3 in 1 month?!??), but not sure and I don't wanna end up getting the wrong idea or info.

sku is the number that identifies the product, it's usually on the barcode.

It is "Stock Keeping Unit"; it is the numbers assigned to a product and is usually printed with a scannable bar code. And your interpretation is correct, it is prohibited by MAC to purchase a certain number of multiples of the same exact product; this is to minimize unauthorized reselling.

Products by the same company typically have the same first five numbers (although large companies may "own" multiple SKUs.)

MAC actually has the most number of skus of all cosmetic/skincare lines. that's alot of stuff!

This is dependent on if you are a MAC PRO card holder purchasing through the MAC PRO program.

If you're just a normal customer, these "rules" don't apply to you.

Thanks, Janice. I didn't respond because I only knew the rules as they apply to the pro card, but wasn't sure about "regular" purchases.

I'm a "regular customer" and I know online the maximum # of items you may purchase at one time is 4. But you can complete that order and create a new order for 4 more.....Stupid, I know.

Also, MAC may limit you to 1 of the same item per order. This happened to me when I went to order 2 Stylistics 224 brushes. I received a message that I could only order one brush. I had to create 2 orders (good thing I had a free shipping code) in the same day....
