What MAC products were banned from your counter?

The LURE collection in June 2006 was banned from our counter because the picture of the topless but covered girl was seemingly offensive. I live in the Bible Belt so it's no surprise. I was never able to buy any of the LURE collection because I didn't have a credit card back then. I was very upset.

Can't help you, there. Nothing's ever been banned at the counters I've been to. I was semi-afraid Lure wouldn't get put up, but it was! In a prominent place on the counter, no less. I got the Lure eyeshadows, and a blushcreme. That was all I wanted, really.

nothing that i know of at my counters... however, as we are in another country we always get things later, they don't coincide with the seasons (eg - we got culturebloom in autumn/winter, and untamed in spring) and we miss out on some products that are released selectively (like zandra). not banned as such, but we still miss out.

hm .. i live down in charleston (the holy city, even!) and nothing's ever been banned down here. the only thing i've ever noticed is that for viva glam VI, the picture of dita (it was a bit risque) was in an akward corner and couldnt easily be seen.

Correct. Couture is only available online and in freestanding stores (and, I assume, Pro).

my counter holds the postcards all the time, for every collection. you have to really push them to get one, and 75% of the time, they never received postcards anyway.

Yeah, I remember Lure being banned from Belk (I am in Sumter SC and go to Columbia for MAC) LOL. My friends at the counter were pretty pissed about it. LOL

Nothing that I know of was banned here. I missed out on the Zandra collection because it wasn't available here but that's okay with me.

Yes....I knew nothing about the collection being banned (at the Belk store in Destin, FL). I called to see what day it would launch and got my head bitten off!!! Sheesh!! She didn't explain that it was banned...just said, very snappily, they wouldn't be carrying it....This must have been a sore subject with the employees, too!

Nope..as a matter of fact, the Lure event I worked at featured a model wearing not much of anything and body painted to resemble a mermaid...they had a guy too...he didn't have much on either...
