What makeup look do you want to pull off in 2010 and why ?

Irrespective whether it'd be the same as what you did in 2009 (as you're very happy with it), or would be different, what makeup look do you most want to successfully pull off in 2010 and please say why.

My old-school "drag queen" looks, with obnoxiously bright colors from lashline to browbone. I used to do that stuff all the time, mostly just for fun, but for the past year I've really toned it down to just one or two colors on the lid, a crease color, and a highlight...so, I kind of standardized and "softened" it. Needless to say, I miss my dramatic stuff, even if it IS just me having a good time! So I think I'll go back to that.

Also, I started doing this at the end of 2009, and I kind of want to carry it in to 2010: very little make-up, but a bright pigment used as an eyeliner. I've got a ton of pigments now, so I can probably use a new color every day. (Well, every day that I do make-up...which is about once or twice a week.)

I'm also trying to figure out a series of at least 3 looks I can use when I head to my conference, which is in Hawaii. It's a CONFERENCE, so it has to be professional, and because I'll be flying I don't want to drag a whole bunch of crap around. But by the same token, I don't want to look the same every day! It's a challenge, but I'm enjoying it.

I'm the same as you, I would love to be able to do winged eyeliner!

@Kragey, I like the sound of doing simple make up with bright eyeliner

Any look that involves using up more of what I have (which would probably last til I'm a hundred and two, but might as well try).

Sadly though, I already know I'm going to be buying at least a few new things this year, whether necessary or not. Guess I'm a sucker that way!

My agenda is to try and make blue lipstick look GOOD.

I bought two blue lipsticks last summer, and other than making me look quite ill they are lovely colours. I just need to learn how to match colours for the rest of my face with them

I plan to try and find a working full face combo which doesn't leave me looking like starved of oxygen or like a clown. (Although, I might end up trying the clown look just once or twice..

I want to finally do false lashes. I've been sooo lazy in that department. Also, I want to do more artistic looks

I have a few ideas on my makeup menu.

1 - I want to wear false lashes with my glasses. I just need to find the right length/style of lashes and I'm good to go. My lashes are naturally super curly and not that noticeable behind my glasses so falsies would certainly help.

2 - More avant garde looks - I want to challenge myself to create wearable yet innovative looks. I don't care if they freak people out - its for my own personal interest. I just want to experiment lots and lots with colour, shape, textures and just have fun.

3 - More neutral looks with sharp eye liner - For the days I'm not wearing avant garde makeup I'd love to master creating a perfect pointy cat eye. I guess I'm looking for my own signature "look" and I think that would suit me.

Bold lips! I don't think that I can't "pull it off" per se...but just to get over my shyness and wear it out in public

To the ladies who are having trouble with winged eyeliner: have you tried putting tape on your face? It always creates nice, sharp lines for me.

NONONO! LOL! That will hurt! Use Scotch tape. Stick it to the back of your hand a few times so it's not super-sticky, then apply it to your face. It feels weird, but it helps with Arabic makeup and the like.

I think masking tape is loads less sticky than scotch tape - we're talking about artist's masking tape, right? The paper one? Not like, gaffer tape

i want to work on more smokey looks or looks that use more black liner on the lower waterline! i've always stayed pretty neutral since the black liner closes my eyes up.. but i always get compliments when i do wear it!

also lipgloss.. i've become quite the lipstick hoarder, but now i just need to use up my lipgloss' that haven't been opened in months!
