What makeup should I do for my wedding?

So, I know it's a little bit early to start thinking about it, but I'm getting married in October

and I would like to hear suggestions for makeup.

Here are the things you should know:

- My dress will be "victorian", inspired in the dress that Keira Knightley is wearing in "Pride and Prejudice" when she goes to the ball and dances with Darcy. Similar hair do, also.

It wont be white-white, though, but off white, kind of like cream/butter colour and I thought I'd add a purple/lilac/lavander ribbon.
- I'm pretty light-skinned, not fair, with pinkish cheeks, dark brown hair and brown eyes (pretty much like Keira, now that i think about it, though I wish I was as beautiful and as talented actress as her... hehehe).
- I like eyeshadows in the purple range.
- I want a makeup that is not as "light" or natural/neutral as the conventional bride makeup, but also not toooo dramatic that I look out of place. Maybe something in between, dramatic-y but not exaggerated.

Hmmm... I think that's it... I don't know what else to add.
Any comments/suggestions?
TIA!

well, if your going for the regency period (thats actually the period your refering to, victorian was about 15 yrs later) i would still suggest something soft, cause thats what the fashion was all about. It's totally a throwback to greek/roman style with light gauzy fabrics that emphasized the bust (with the empire gown) and them floated away from the shape, yet still clung. Infact some women would wet their dresses so they clung in a suggestive manner.

That being said i think a cream coloured eye with some lilac would work. I would do a cool piink cheek... like azela blossom, or dame. And a peachy pink lip. I know your talking about something dramatic, but i would be carful, you really don't want to contrast the rest of your look so much.

Are you going to get a spencer? they can look really neat, and it might be nice since its a fall wedding... you can even get one thats a vest in similar colours... like whites, creams, lilacs and maybe pale golds.
Also, if you want to stick with the regency theme, indian and eastern culture was starting to have influence over the aristoratic style. In a version of pride and prejudice i was in, they put me in a vest spencer that was green and gold and looked very indian. It was pretty snazzy.

congrats btw!

Thank you for all the useful information.

I should have added that it is in October, but I live in Buenos Aires and in October here its starting to get reallyyyy hot, probably around 28 C (82 F), maybe a little less since it will be at night and in the open, so I don't know about the spencer, although that sounds like a lovely idea. Who knows? Maybe I'l throw one in, just cause its pretty, not for "warming" purposes.

Anyway, I really like your ideas for the eyes/lips/cheeks.

What is a good foundation that will photograph well?
