what makeup would look good on me?

I've recently been called plain. Which is unfortunate, yeah. Cause its like "you could be pretty, but you're not."
What can I do with my makeup to look better?
Products, instructions, pictures, videos, anything.
It's all going to be greatly appreciated.
And I'd like an everyday look as well as a party look please.
here's some pictures of me.

what I look like everyday pretty much

me at my new years party

thanks in advance!

edit + I'm thinking a daytime look and a party look.
Like something I can wear everyday to whatever and something for night when I go out.

And I'm looking for product recommendations as well as what to put on haha.
I don't have a MAC near me or a Sephora or anything so basically I can only buy my makeup from Walmart or London Drugs and all that.. so please try to think of makeup from these places if possible? Thankyou!

thankyou very much but this is really not what I'm looking for haha.
I really appreciate it though. Maybe "ordinary" is a better word.
I'm sorry, but also is this post in the right board? I wasn't really sure

I totally could see you rocking some black winged eyeliner and some red lips with filled in brows.. so simple to achieve.. yet separates you from everyone else

Is there a type of look you are going for? I think you look gorgeous and have great features. Are you looking for a dramatic or neutral look? Did you want some suggestions on what kind of make up to purchase or just what to put on? I hope that made sense, I think it would be easier if you were a little more specific

look around FOTD and look for something you could rock, get inspired. you are naturally pretty and start with neutral colors like pinks and browns then go for colors that you prefer. make up is about being creative. when i first started in makeup i just started adding 2 colors or more and see what looks good or not. hope it helps.

Can you order online? I would suggest looking on ebay for a eyeshadow palette like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-88-Piece-Eye-Shadow-Eyeshadow-Matte-Palette_W0QQitemZ250368378308QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH _DefaultDomain_0?hash=item250368378308&_trksid=p32 86.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A 1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

because it has every color imaginable and it's really good for all the colors you get--the payoff is great. Then just start messing around...look for inspiration everywhere! I tear out pictures in magazines and keep them in a folder, I stalk online makeup communities, even stuff like colorful birds and old movies inspire me. Just have fun!

Hi
I think u look great and ur daytime look is perfect. Just fill in ur brows a little. That will make u look more groomed and polished. Otherwise I love ur look
u can take it up a notch in parties.. u could try a smokey eye and maybe some more gloss, a dramatic mascara or false lashes. Again, doing ur brows will make a world of a difference to ur look I hope that helps

I think you're a natural beauty.

To be completely honest, whoever said that about you is probably insecure. You have great strong features, beautiful skin, you're tall and lean.

If you want to wear make up, do it because you like to, not because someone said you should.

Anyways, you DID ask for advice as well, not just compliments LOL So I guess I would suggest a nice peachy blush like MAC Style. Neutral shadows like Woodwinked, Patina, Satin Taupe, Swiss Chocolate [All MAC]. You'd look nice with pink lips, or even soft corals.

Hey okay, thanks! Everyone is saying to fill in my brows.
But a) I don't know how and b) what do I use?
Can you suggest a product I can pick up at like Walmart or London Drugs to do so?

You're really pretty! Anyway, for the brow thing, do you have wet n wild or NYC at your drug stores? NYC cosmetics sell a brow powder that I like. Wet n wild does pencils but they can be a bit harsh if not used correctly or if not the right color.

You can also use an eyeshadow that same color as your brows and lightly fill in. A cheap eyeshadow is great for this. I highty recommend milani, NYC, wet n wild if you have these drugstore brands. You can buy stuff cheaply and experiment. Btw, the wet n wild palettes are pretty good for drugstore!

try a wash of neutral color on the lid (like UD's half baked), with just a slightly darker color for your outer-v, soft mascara, soft rosy cheeks, and a cute pink lip. and i gotta agree with everyone else, you are beautiful.

Wal-Mart & Target are my homes away from my Sephora/MAC/Ulta home =P.

Along with M.A.C. Head, I have to agree you are an incredibly beautiful person. Do yourself up, because YOU want to. =)

However, for the purpose of this thread -- your request:

For the Wal-Mart/Target rec's, I would have to push:

- Physician's Formula
I'm in love with their Shimmer Strips -- which can be used for eyeshadow, blush/bronzer, & highlight -- we love multi-use products =P
- Loreal Paris' HIP Line
Eyeshadow Duos are incredibly pigmented. Great color choices
=).

- Loreal
Their liquid eyeliners are WONDERFUL (aim for water-proof).
- Maybelline
Eyebrow Pencil -- Define-A-Brow (644) in Light Brown. Reminds me of the MAC brow pencils.
- Revlon
For their ColorStay Foundations (in either Combo/Oily OR Normal/Dry) -- if you're looking for a medium to full-coverage foundation. Also, some of their lipsticks can be dupes for MAC's.
==

There are more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. I must recommend YouTube for any and all information, tutorials, & reviews of both high-end & budget-minded products (hair, skincare, cosmetic lines).

G'Luck & hope that helped!
