What the heck is Screech?

Ok, I was at work and they offered me a rum and coke (my hubby was picking me up) so I said sure. I can't even walk or breathe now. My boss after laughing his butt off said it was Screech? I seriously have never been so drunk in my life. He said it was from Newfoundland or Nova Scotia or something. They thought it was hilarious. I can't even see straight.

My hubby is having a good laugh at me. What the heck did they give me?? I think I need more

I just did a search for you, it's a rum and some sort of weirdo Canadian tradition (joke! you know I love Canadians!!!) where you drink do some sort of odd ceremony involving drinking this and kissing a cod fish: I kid you not...

Actually, moving onto a more academic note, I'm going to have to find out why that particular piece of..clothing...is called a codpiece.

All things aside, as incapacitated as I was last night, I feel fine today. Still, it was by far the strongest alcohol I've ever had. One tiny glass of rum and coke and I was knocked flat on my butt

I don't really know. I was hoping somebody could answer it for me because I am curious. My boss said it was pure alcohol, but I don't know if that's even possible.

Its a Jamaican Rum from what I've read here: lol so funny - Shawna- you're a lightweight!! (don't worry- it takes me about 2 beers to get drunk) lol
