What to Buy?(Beginner in makeup & also WOC)

Hello WOC, I'm finally able to wear makeup and I was wondering what should I buy as a beginner. My skin tone is between NC45 - NC55(Depends on the season) and I don't really want foundation, since my skin is very healthy as it is.I would like to know different eye shadows,lipsticks,mascaras, brushes, etc... Wow! This is a tough question to answer. Please give some more information. What colors do you like? Pinks, Browns, Greens, etc. What kind of look are you going for? Everyday, Night out, etc.

Also, consider going to a Mac store or counter (or really any makeup counter) and tell them that you are just getting started and they will do your makeup for you.

My mother has been in a makeup rut for awhile (according to me). She recently went to a MAC counter without telling me and came back with some really great stuff! She ended up with one of my favorite blushes and surprise surprise she had a few things I wanted for myself.

But if you can't get to a counter, give some more info and we can help.

I agree with the other ladies, please tell us a bit more about your preferences. I know you said no foundations, but would you wear an msf or bronzer? For lashes, are you going for length or just fullness? Are you looking for everyday makeup suggestions or going out or something in between? Look forward to hearing from you!
