you could just use a mineralize skinfinish natural. which is powder but can also be used as a very light foundation. good for if you already have good skin.

the only actual foundation that mac do thati like is the new mineralize cream spf15 one. super easy to apply - fingers for me! it literally takes me a minute or two for my whole face

I wear Studio Fix fluis foundation or Select SPF 15 foundation every day with Select Sheer Pressed Powder.

Then I usually wear a hint of Refined Golden Bronzer.

You can also wear a blush as well, but it is not neccessary for an every day look.

If you're just looking for one product, try mineralized skin finish natural. If that's not enough coverage for you, then go with studio fix powder

the only reason why i couldn't do Studio Fix Fluid foundation was because it broke me out.. the MA at the MAC counter the day i got the studio sculpt said it was because of the silicone or something? and that i needed to wipe my face of with thei MAC wipes because it had silicone remover on them.. to do that before washing my face..

is that true?

but i'm going to look into the mineralized skin finish natural and see how the coverage is for that one, and just kinda compare them when i get the chance to go again to the mac store

studio fix fluid broke you out or studio fix powder? if you're ok with liquid foundation i love, love LOVE my studio sculpt foundation. I've never noticed that I needed a special remover to get it off either, a good foaming cleanser does the trick. I always set my studio sculpt with the MSFN, it's such a natural look (if you have time for that, that is

)

studio fix fluid broke me out..

i just got the studio sculpt and love it actually.. but am wondering which is the best way to apply that? with a sponge/fingers/which brush? and would be the fastest..

also for concealer - which would i use? the select cover up? the studio finish in NW25 i guess is only good for my undereye area? because when i put it on other parts of my face it turned orangey/redish..

in studio sculpt i'm NC25 - in MSFN what color do you think i'd most likely be?

thank you!v

If you are looking for just one product I would recommend Mineralize Skinfinish Natural as well

I love the finish it gives me. But it IS quite light coverage. If you find it is too light, I would opt for Studio FIX powder+foundation. Covers great deal more than MSFN and if you set it with FIX+ you can control the powderyness with no problems

As a side note: I LOVE the new Mineralize SPF 15 foundation (the gel/creme compact)! It is perfect for me - enough coverage, feels like nothing on, lovely texture, lasts long time on me... I could go on and on
winks.gif
BUT I would not wear it alone. I always have to set it with some powder (MSFN or P+P Transparent finishing powder) otherwise I would get greasy in 30 minutes. So if you are in a hurry it might not be ideal for you

okay so i wasn't sure what the MSFN was lol so i was looking around on the mac site and was looking at the foundation and powder compacts..

and i was looking at:

Studio Tech
Studio Fix Powder + Foundation
Mineralize Foundation SPF15
Moisture Tint (but would i need to put powder over this, how is coverage?)

I already have the MAC Sheer Pressed powder compact.. and use this to touch up my oily t-zone throughout the day.. i was wondering - should i just invest in blot powder instead as a replacement? or get both? or yea

MSFN = Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - domed compact with see-through lid. Light powder, great for setting makeup, touch ups or as a light powder foundation

I think I would set Studio Tech with powder too, so that would be an extra step. It should have great coverage tough.

Moisture Tint is not bad but it is not my favorite - I do not like the smell and the color match is not as great as with other foundations I have. Also the coverage is quite light (it's a tinted moisturizer after all). I personally set this with powder too.

If you use your Sheer Pressed powder for touch ups and you are happy with it I think it is not necessary to purchase blot powder as well - save your money for something else - the new foundation for example

Select SPF 15 liquid foundation is a great one and it's water-based. I love Studio Sculpt concealer. It gives great coverage, my everyday concealer

Mineralize Foundation SPF15, I never have to set it with powder. It's medium coverage and feels fabulous + silky

. You just apply it straight from the compact with ur 187 or the 180 and u'll be good to go in the morning.

I think the best is to try that in store. I'm NC35 in Select SPF 15 but Studio Sculpt concealer NW25 (as recommended by my MA) matches my skin tone. Sometimes I go out without foundation and just conceal my blemishes and it looks so natural on me.

instead of moisture tint maybe (if you have access) to try face and body foundation. this is my new HG foundation, and so blendable! you look flawless with it one, but still nice and natural

I have the face and body foundation - but i find myself having to set it with powder and it takes a bit longer for me to work with because it's so watery..

I use tinted moisturiser , then if I feel like it the MSFN ontop of it. Or for more full coverage days I've been using Studio Sculpt , it applies easily and doesn't take me long. I just use a sponge because thats fastest for me. It applies really well with the duofiber brushes as well for a really airbrushed look but when I'm in a rush sponges work for me because thats how I have done it since high school I haven't perfected a super fast brush technique .I have fairly clear skin so I don't use much foundation or concealer just a little dab with fingers of concealer under eyes and any red/age spots, and blend them out with the sponge, and a SMALL dab of foundation on the sponge then I lightly touch it to my forhead both cheeks my nose, my chin and then blend it out thats enough coverage for me and then MSFN ontop with a big powder brush works for me... it doesn't take me long at all...
