Well i have both the 187 and the flirt skunk brush....there is a difference between the two for sure in quality but for 6 dollars I was expecting that. So if you have a kohls near by I would try to pick one up.

Sephora now has one that is pretty good,.. about $10 bucks cheaper than MAC's but still high quality,.. the Flirt brush is nice for the price,.. but much thinner and the white fibers are less dense,..overall much less dense.

Oh,.. and I just eventually sucked it up and just bought it and I still feel it is worth it,..

I wasn't going to buy the 187, it just seemed like wayyy to much $$ to spend on one brush, but I went to the counter and tried it out, I think its the best thing I have ever bought, I use it for everything!

Its definitly worth saving up for and buying.

It's an investment you won't regret in the long run. I wondered the same thing, but I loved mine so much that I now have one for MSFs and one for cream blushes!

Have to agree with the above and previous like minded comments. I started out with the Flirt version of this brush, just picked up the 187 on Thursday with Avant Gold... no comparison. <3

suck it up and pay for the more expensive one. i have 3 187s and 2 flirt brushes and i never reach for the flirt ones. honestly, i know some people on LJ that have spent so much money trying to find "cheaper" 187 alternatives, that they've ended up spending far more than they would have if they had just bought the 187 to begin with, aside for the fact that they have never found any alternative that even comes close to the quality of the 187.

Im getting the Flirt brush. Im having someone CP it for me.

I cant justify spending $82 (AUD) on one brush at the moment, especially when I should be saving for my trip to Japan.

I might get it duty free though...

yes! suck up and pay for it hun. I have 3 of these baby's and i l.o.v.e them!!!! do not waist time and money getting other brushes that looks a like but wont do the job. you'll end up paying more at the end and getting it anyways. so... go get that 187 brush! hur hur hur!

Im not exactly sure on the price. I was at singapore airport about 2 months ago and I think it was about $55, maybe $65 at the duty free there.

either way, even a 10% saving is enough to make me want to wait untill I buy it.

You never know what kind of PRIORITY things have to be paid for with $. Car notes, utility bills, insurance, gas, and so on come way before MAC (or should anyway). So... since she asked for a substitute, why not just give her good substitutes for the 187 ?

I'd like to know as well. I have found good brushes for MUCH less money than MAC and they have been awesome

I agree, the sephora one is pretty good and cheaper than MAC's. If sephora released this a long time ago, i would've bought it. I do love my 187, but I might pick up the sephora one too.

Just get the 187 when you feel like you can.

Well i'm sorry if it sounded like i was making you get the brush. Thanks god i don;'t have to suck it to buy anything. Again i'm sorry if i sounded like that.

Offcourse it's her to get the 187 or not. I believe she also asked if this is on of teh things you just go get. Well i said yes, cause i saw one of the dups and it looked very cheap and did not feel the same. dunno about the sephora one or the rest. But anyways it's up to her to decide what she does. So girl, go get it "ïf" you can, if you can not try the other ones i'll say. Big kiss!
