I can't take those tests because I was a psychology major in university and we did them all the time. I know what the answers are. I can guarantee I didn't to begin with, I just have a freakishly good memory.

Those are cool, I practice those day in and out. Logic is supposed to be one of the hardest parts of Philosophy, so I've been practicing for months.

I'm such a heathen, so I'm surprised I actually got 17.

I'm intellectually snobbish, so I'll take the bait.

1. Do they have a 4th of July in England?
The date, yes.
2. How many birthdays does the average man have?
What's the life expectancy of males in the US nowadays? 72? If the answer is supposed to be "1" because we're only born once, I'd argue we celebrate birthdays, not birthday anniversaries.
3. Some months have 31 days; how many have 28?
.75 on average per year, since February has one more every fourth year.
4. A woman gives a beggar 1 dollar and 32 cents; the woman is the beggar's sister, but the beggar is not the woman's brother. How come?
The woman is a nun?
5. Why can't a man living in the U.S. be buried in Canada?
Because he's in the U.S. and cannot be in two places at once.
6. How many outs are there in an inning?
Isn't it variable? I don't know sports well at all (yawn), but I'm certainly missing another trick.
7. Is it legal for a man in California to marry his widow's sister? Why?
No, because he would be dead.
8. Two men play five games of checkers. Each man wins the same number of games. There are no ties. Explain this.
They're not playing against each other (took me a while to realize that).
9. Divide 30 by 1/2 and add 10. What is the answer?
70.
10. A man builds a house rectangular in shape. All sides have southern exposure.
A big bear walks by. What color is the bear? Why?

White, because the house is unwisely built on the North Pole.
11. If there are 3 apples and you take away two, how many do you have?
Two, I just took them.
12. I have two U.S. coins totalling 55 cents. One is not a nickel. What are the coins?
I'm stumped here. Wonder what the trick is...
13. If you have only one match and you walked into a room where was an oil burner, a kerosene lanp, and a wood burning stove, which one would you light first?
What's an oil burner? Bleeping archaic technology. Not getting the trick to this one either...
14. How far can a dog run into the woods?
Halfway, then he's running out of it.
winks.gif

15. A doctor gives you three pills telling you to take one every half hour.
How long would the pills last?

An hour before you have no pills left.
16. A farmer has 17 sheep; all but 9 die. How many are left?
9.
17. How many animals of each sex did Moses take on the ark?
None, Noah and his family were the ones who were supposed to have loaded the ark.
18. A clerk in the butcher shop is 5'10'' tall. What does he weigh?
Meat.
19. How many two cent stamps are there in a dozen?
12
20. What was the president's name in 1950?
The answer better not be "Mr. President".
21. There once was a lady who really liked pink. In her cozy, little one-story house,
everything was pink. Even her dog was pink. Her hair, her carpet, everything.
What color are her stairs?

Not applicable, the house is one story.
