Thanks...

I lined the bottom with the yellow, but after I screwed it up with the midnight liner, I had to take some off, so the yellow doesn't even show! I thought about using a third 'brighter' color, but... I didn't really like how it was looking, and I didn't have time to change it, so I didn't want it to be even worse! LOL

I actually really like this! Great idea, hon

That lipcolor looks smashing on you!!!

I think because of the white/neutral looking lid the brights look ok unblended, like liner. If you'd blended it, it would look neat too, I'm sure, just a different style.

Thanks for all the lovely comments, y'all! They're really appreciated, especially considering how much I really didn't like how my eye make-up turned out yesterday! LOL

As for my hair - I had a girl PM me the other day and ask, so I wrote out a fairly detailed description of how I style my hair. I've found that, for me, it's mainly in the styling methods instead of the products - but some products DO work better than others. The products I usually use are:

Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine Shampoo, Conditioner, and Leave-In Conditioner
Herbal Essences Set Me Up gel - usually the spray but sometimes the regular
John Frieda Frizz Ease hairspray

Here is what I do more times than not on my curly hair days:

Wash normally with the GF C&S shampoo. Then use the GF C&S conditioner LIBERALLY! I usually take about a quarter-sized amount (or a little more) and smooth it over the outer layer all over my hair. Then I take another blob about the same size - more if necessary - and finger comb it through my hair in sections, beginning at the back of my hair underneath, then the sides, then the front/top. My hair feels pretty "slimy" at this point. I let that sit while I finish bathing. Then I rinse it out.

Towel dry a tiny bit and very carefully, scrunching instead of rubbing. At this point, I generally shake my head back and forth fairly vigorously to loosen up my hair and let it fall into its natural curl pattern. Then I take the GF C&S leave-in conditioner, about a quarter-sized amount and comb it through all of my hair, roots to ends. Then I take another quarter-sized blob of that and rub it in between my hands. With my left hand, I scrunch it into the side and back/bottom of my hair on the left side. Then repeat on the right with the stuff in my right hand. Then I get another quarter-sized amount, rub it into my hands, bend over and scrunch that into the top. Then I flip back upright and scrunch a bit more all around to arrange the curls. After that, I take some Herbal Essences Set Me Up spray gel and spray it all over my hair, flipping back and forth to be sure I hit all spots. Then I scrunch that in and arrange, as well, like before with the leave-in.

Next comes the blow drying! Sometimes I use a bowl diffuser and sometimes I use a sock diffuser. I flip upside down and just let the curls hang. I dry the top first then the sides. Then I flip upright and dry the back. It's important to NOT move the blow dryer around anymore than necessary. This way, your curls stay nice and clumped together. I dry my hair probably about 90%. Then I let it finish air drying while I put on make-up and get dressed.

After I'm dressed and made-up, I "scrunch out the crunch" from my hair with my hands. I've found that using a claw-like hand (with your fingers curled inward a lot) helps soften up the crunch a good bit. This is where you have to be careful. If you scrunch TOO much, you'll loosen up the clumped curls too much and get frizz. I always scrunch until my hair feels smooth in my hands and not crunchy anymore from the gel.

Here's what my hair looks like after blow-drying and BEFORE scrunching: http://nookra.com/makeup/FOTD/2007_05_22/before.jpg (That's also what I look like with NO MAKEUP on! LOL. Scary, huh?)

After I have it scrunched out the way I want and arranged, I spray it pretty liberally with John Frieda's Frizz Ease hairspray.

And that's it!!!

If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. I hope this was clear.

Thanks again!
