...is it best to buy a shade darker or lighter than your normal skintone?
fyi im NC30 and using moistureblend compact NC30 and planning on buying the select sheer pressed powder. i still want to look natural..anybody can help?

i was always told to match - but it's a little hard since i'm darker where the sun hits (i.e., forehead, nose).

sometimes you need 2 - one for summer when you're tanned, and one for winter when you're pale.

i only buy one since i only wear powder on occasion. (foundation, i buy one but the MA was nice and made me a sample size of the next darker shade so i can mix it when i get a little more sun)

If you are particularly oily err on the light side, as powder darkens slightly when it absorbs oil.

If you aren't, then you want to match your skin as best as possible, else you end up looking ashy or like your base is off.
