Well this is just my opinion -get the advanced brush set- 187 brush is the best brush that you can have.If you can get both sets will be great ,but if you cant- get the advanced

.I will get for myself one and then will get one set from the Red She Said Collection and will be good to go

I was wondering about this too! I just bought the 187 brush, is the basic set worth getting?

Since the 187 is the only MAC brush I have I think it'd be a really practical way to get a few more, if the set is any good!

if you can afford it, get both! here are some must haves in each collection, as well as some that are so-so.

i reccomend the advanced set because its harder and more expensive to find those brushes at a good quality. Basic brushes are much easier to find and you can get some good quality basic brushes at less exspense.

Thanks! Well it says that they're about US$50 in the Color Forms thread, so it has to be more expensive in Canada :/ I'm guessing a little over 60 dollars?
Being a teenager I can't really afford both, i guess. but my parents have promised to give me 6 dollars a day for the summer. and i might be getting a job.
haha too much information.
but i'm just scared that they'll sell out in a day or something. Do they? Will i have to drag my butt to the mall the day its released to get it?

i've heard that the 129 is awesome, and i'm not really sure about the 168. "expert application" sounds a little too demanding.
well thanks !

This question is a bit complicated one. In my opinion Advanced brush set have better face brushes in it, but Basic brush set have better eye shadow brushes. Hmm… I would say that think about which ones do you use more, face or eye brushes and choose then the best option for yourself. I this one doesn’t help I would think about can I get for example one set and one full-size brush ( Basic brush set+187 full-size or so on). But if I would choose one set of these two it would be Basic brush set, because it simply have so much better eye brushes and in my opinion eye brushes are the thing. You can also get very high quality face brushes (for 7 dollars) for example from Everyday minerals. I hope that this helps you a bit! (:)

I already have those brushes in the SE size and yes, the quality is slightly lower than the regular brushes, but I've had mine for almost two years and they haven't shed, lost form or anything.

I'd get the Advanced Set, basically all those sets gave me an idea of what brushes I wanted to purchase in regular size. But for the price, it's not a bad deal.

As mentioned earlier, I'm a little worried about the quality of these brushes. Does anyone know how they can compare to full-sized brushes?

I really want to purchase two sets but don't want to be disappointed later.

I've seen a few people say the sets seem to be slightly lower in quality

Maybe it'd be better to save up for the regular brushes? I'm undecided too!
