Hi, so ive recently become a total mac addict! Im spending ridiculous amounts but having read other threads seems you all are, so makes me feel better!

So ive been using the studio fix fluid which is pretty good but have now bought the studio fix powder and just wondered am i supposed to be using say the 190 or the 129 or even a sponge? and should the powder be applied alone or on top of the fluid? Im trying to create a matt flawless look!

Thanks, btw this is my first post!

The Studio Fix Powder + Foundation compact is to be used AS your foundation. I personally prefer using the disc sponge it comes with & buy a few back-ups of the sponge (sold separately). I find that the sponge provides the best coverage for this powder-based product. I've tried the 190 with this product & didn't like the coverage it provided. I like the 190 for liquid or cream foundations instead, like Studio Fix Fluid or Studio Tech. The 129 isn't a foundation brush - you would use it for blush or dusting of loose powder.

HTH!

For liquid foundation I either use the 190 or 187....I love the 187 coz it gives you that 'airbrushed' affect. You should try it out.

Yes, the Studio Fix powder is a foundation, all it's own. Easy.

I apply with my Sephora kabuki. You can go light to heavy with a kabuki, it just depends on the amount you get down in there. Plus, it's fast and like... auto blended. Lol. If I spend way too long on my eyes, and want to get flawless looking skin fast, I grab my studio fix powder and my 'buki, blend on and go. Although I use a concealer brush to get in tight spots (under eyes, behind nostrils) and to dab a little extra powder where I want extra coverage in certain places I didn't quiet get in the fast application.

When i first bought studio fix powder, I asked the ma if I should use the sponge that was included and she said no because 1) its not sanitary and 2) it provides heavier coverage. Since I wanted lighter coverage, she suggested the 129 brush. I ended up buying it and it provides good coverage, where I can layer on the makeup if I wish. I have also tried SF powder with my 188 (my one and only skunk) and it was just too small to work with. However I liked using the 188 to buff it in after using my 129.
