The 150. The big powder brush. I swirl it around in the compact before I apply it.

There are so many to chose from but these are the most popular:
109 (apply with 190 and blend with 109)
187 or 188 (apply with either blend and stipple)

For a liquid like SFF, I like the MAC 109.

If it is going on a bit too heavy, try using a slightly dampened sponge - it's better to layer it on in very thin layers, this helps with potential caking.

I always use the "stippling method", applying Studio Fix on wet skin, then pat 5 drops all over the face, and then blend it using the stippling effect (Temptalia's and Koren's methods of application, but combined) with my irreplaceable Everyday Minerals Flat Top Brush.

My skin looks airbrushed and flawless. The best brush ever, imho. (I tried 187 Duo fiber - didn't like at all compared to my Flat Top Brush.)

I heard the 109 is good for that. Dot it on your face then swirl in circular motions to blend.

I actually use both the 109 and the 187

I usually apply with the 109 kind of in spots..and then kind of spread it around. Then I'll take my 187 and finish blending by using circular motions starting from the outer parts of my face working in.

I do sometimes use either brush, but I think I like them both so much I end up using them together! They are both awesome!

I use my Too Faced kabuki. I apply a few dots of foundation to my forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose and then I just buff away. It applies like a dream with that brush.

Any liquid or powder does.

With studio fix, I have tried:

182 kabuki
183 flat kabuki
187 duo-fibre
188 small-duo fibre
190 foundation brush
191 square foundation brush
my fingers
mac sponges
sonia kashuk version of the beauty blender

unfortunately... i have yet to find one that i consider my like "holy-grail" applicator. i'm beginning to think that perhaps it has more to do with the person operating the brushes (i.e. me) than the brush themselves. one of my sorority sisters works at Mac and I was telling her my issue with foundation application and she said that I should try holding the 190 foundation brush at the end of its handle and kind of dab/stipple the foundation on. I started doing that, followed by blending with the 183 flat kabuki and it seems to be working pretty well, except now I've realized that I think i'm wearing the wrong foundation color!!

I like the 109 with SFF, very easy to buff in too. I have used the 187 as well which works but I don't have enough patience to use it everyday since I'm usually in a rush. Sonia Kashuk blending sponge works too, but it's a pain to clean.
