I know I'm very late to the game, but one of the reasons I was so excited about discovering MAC were the Royal Assets eyeshadow palettes. By the time I found out about them, they were already sold out so I bought them on ebay for a little less than retail. I couldn't believe that some ebay sellers are pricing these at nearly $50 USD!

I bought the Smokey, Warm Eyes and Cool eye palettes. Great way to start off with MAC, don't you think?

I can't wait to try these out!!!

I just love looking at these lovely palettes - the warm eyes contain shades I usually use. The cool and smokey palettes have colors I've NEVER used - if these don't get me out of my makeup rut, what will?

I think between these palettes and some of the e/s I've already purchased [Ochre Style, Parrot and Bisque] I'll be good on e/s for now and plan to stock up on brushes next.

Ya krista, I just tried the light/dark pink combo and amazed by how well this looks on me! Or, maybe I'm just kidding myself. I thought only younger ladies could get away with this [I'm 42 years old for cryin' out loud!] but it really makes my brown eyes pop!

I used bisque as a base, applied the light pink [Medallion] as a highlight on my browbone, dark pink [Trophy Pink] in the crease and outer V], blended on my lid with a little more Medallion and used the Courtley Grey from the Smokey eyes as an eyeliiner. Then applied the Silverwear from cool eyes on my upper cheekbone after sheertone blushbaby. Topped it off with my HG mascara, Dr. Hauschka's high volume formula in aubergine.

I may look ridiculous but I feel invincible!

Ooh you're so right! Since it was kind of chilly and I was wearing bright sweater to ward off the cold, I went for the lovely greys in the smoky yesterday. It's amazing how much I look forward to putting on my makeup, all because I have these pretty little palettes with all these gorgeous colors, I feel like a kid in a candy store!

Do any of you ladies remember what it was like the first time you walked into a Sephora? Well this MAC discovery is kind of like that; I actually look forward to the time I spend making up my face instead of looking upon it as a kind of drudgery task that must be done just for the sake of obligation....

Hi foxynats, welcome to Specktra! I don't have a camera and can't post anything but have you checked the tutorial section? Tons of tuts on smoky eyes there. If you use the Advanced search function and type in the keywords Royal Assets to search the subject line, you should be able to find tutorials based upon these palettes.

Good luck, they really are lovely aren't they? I probably won't use all the colors, but I'll certainly use most of them!
