and I don't care what any survey says - I'm going to keep using my makeup and it would be a brave (or a foolish) person who tried to take it away from me!

I think there's a point where some folks go overboard *but* I like the natural look from time to time just as much as going all out with a splash of color. I get more compliments when I have *something* on my face, whether it's wild or not, though the wild colors usually garner more of a reaction. I guess it just depends on the person 8)

It's funny that most of the pictures of the supposed "no makeup" stage, the girls are wearing makeup! Just natural-looking ones. Men just can't tell the difference lol.

I'm happy you noticed that too. I remember an MA telling a lady that if she really wanted a natural look, to wake up at 6am and just leave the house. No makeup, no shower, no hairdryer. I would try, but there'd be some pretty scared neighborhood kids.

As for my hubby, the only reason he likes the natural look is because it means I didn't spend $ on makeup.

YES im glad someone pointed out the fact that the no makeup pictures are infact full of makeup. just low tone and neutrals. there is no such thing is a "i want to look natural like so and so by wearing little or no makeup" natural looks require makeup. otherwise our faces will look uneven and dull unless you happen to be the lucky few who has a natural glow

I dont care its part of being a girl! I've always liked make up and I dont do it for anybody else but me. My bf doesnt even notice the difference...whenever I buy make up hes like, "why you need make up their all the same just different colors". I LOVE MU! period

I didn't read the article but wanted to say that anyone can do as they wish if it makes them feel better about themselves and is not hurting anyone. Yes, humans do look perfectly fine without makeup but it can be fun to momentarily transform oneself. that's the ace thing about makeup - it's not permanent!

It hurts my heart to hear people say about themselves that they cannot go out without having a made-up face. Because it's simply not true! Society's just convinced a lot of us that we only look 'acceptable' if we look like this, that and the other...

I mean, we are born naked!!!

LOL they wear makeup, that's just more natural! And god know how it's a lot of work to wear the natural look!

By the way, they are ALREADY natural beauties, that's why they don't need (Read it as - They need less) makeup.

im not sure who your reffering too IO20ch2222 when u say we, but even as GUY i MUCH prefer how i look with concealer under eyes (thats all i wear everyday) than without, i look so tired and dull and UGH..and my close friend has no eyebrows or lashes (she literally has half an eyebrow, so she can draw a perfect arch everyday

) and without makeup i must say, she looks mighty strange and has no features.
Yet when she puts her daily mascara, eyebrows and undereye concealer on, she looks natural and any straight neanderthal guy would swear she was wearing no make up!

Exactly, VuittonVictim. It's just like how they say they like their women with curves but that doesn't mean they like fat women. They say they prefer no makeup but if by no makeup it means you look like shit they'd rather you put it on. And obviously if you put two women next to each other and one looks great without makeup and the other one doesn't they would pick the one who can pull off a no makeup look.

Scarlett Johansson's "no make up" pic you can def tell she is wearing it. One time I did very natural make up and my boyfriend was like omg see u look so much better without make up. There was some on there, not much, but it shows men cant really tell.

i don't know about anyone else, but when i put makeup on i put it on for me not my SO.
he says "you don't need makeup" sometimes i don't but i love it that's why i wear it.

If you notice in that pic they are almost all blondes. Most blondes cheat and pretend they don't wear makeup when they are actually wearing a natural looking brown mascara, brow pencil and maybe some eyeliner on bottom lashes.

As a darker girl I find it difficult to create a really natural look like that because my hair and skin is so dark that if I am going to bother with makeup I have to add colour which is more obvious looking.
