My skin really does drive me nuts and causes me to spend so much money.
I have really bad spots from previous pimples and they seem to just be getting worse. Is there a way to get rid of these spots?

I also have these tiny little pimples and every now and then I get bigger bumps, what should I do?

I have oily skin which is such a pain with foundation and such.

I really need some help with everything to do with, pimples, oily skin, dark spots and even chin hairs

Please help if you can.

Thanks

Have you been to the doctor or a dermo about the skin? Sometimes if it is that bad then only they can help.

I have started using up all the cleansers I have and they have cleared up any spot problems I had but my skin was never really bad so I don't know if that will work for you.

Re. oily skin, what facewashes do you use? Simple's oily skin range is very good as it doesn't dry you out. Be careful not to overwash your face and strip oils off. I have found the best way to get rid of excess oil is to cleanse your skin and apply a thin layer of moisturiser and to let it sink it. That will tell you how much more you need, if any.

Also, what types of food do you eat? If you eat greasy food then your skin will show this, if you eat healthier and start excercising then your skin will get clearer, exercise pushes the toxins out via sweat.

About the chin hairs, do you have have in other places where women don't usually have hair? If so then this may be PCOS and you can get pills from the doctor to get rid of this. If you only have a few excess chin hairs then maybe wax it off or laser it?

for chin hair depending on how bad it is you should go see a dermatologist they should be able to sort that out for you. As for the black spots i have heard about alot of products some work for some people and some dont but one thing that i know works for almost everyone is african black soap and shea butter i think you can get it on coastal scents website. that would prevent pimples and help the balc spots look better and also you should use a good sunblock as this is what causes the spots to get dark. but all in all the one advice i hear all the time from people who are older than me is give it time. I have oily skin and i use mac studio fix foundation with the concealer that comes in a pot and prep and prime powder and i do not have to touch up as all. HTH

I assume the black spots are blackheads?

Steaming helps them come loose and using a blackhead remover (which looks like a crochet needle) you can take them out but it does hurt a bit.

Also, nose pore strips may help with that.

Try to find a good dermatologist, specifically one that caters to WOC.
A lot of people feel like any dermatologist is good, which they can be, but I've found more success with derms that specialize with WOC. I am a acne sufferer and recently had to go on accutante, and Ive been on every medication/pill/cream/lotion/face wash over the counter and Rx that you can think of.

Over the counter products I would recommend.
Ambi fade cream for oily skin for the dark spots
Nuetrogena Gentle face wash or Cetaphil
Ambi Moisturizer with Soy which contains SPF which will help lessen the dark spots as well or keep them from getting worse in the sun.

I also recommend you check this website...

Moore Unique
This website is owned by a dermatologist/pharmacist in Houston.
He has his own product line and caters to ppl of color although he services all client types. I had great success with his over the counter product line and it is available for purchase on his website.

As far as Rx products go, if you see a derm, make sure you follow their instructions exactly for what products they give you and be consistent with your routine and if you see any negative reactions make sure to let them know.

You may also want to consider getting a glycolic peel, IMO glycolic acid is a holy grail product for improving skin tone and texture.

I hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks girls! I am currently using Juice beauty products and I am not seeing much progress specially with the spots. I don't have scars, I have spots ( I think the two are different...right??)
It is the spots I am most concerned about. I don't get as much break outs, here and there maybe, but not much (I sometimes get these little tiny rash like things though).

Maybe I should get the black soap.
