I've been twice already and been to Rockefeller Centre, Empire State, Staten Island, Broadway show, WTC etc... but I feel that I havent expierience the full gems of New York. I'm particularly interested in seeing the tour about Gangs Of New York, has anyone done that tour and what is it like? I'm staying about a block away from Times Square

and a Question too, I'm planning to raid the MAC PRO store whilst I'm there, is it ok for me to bring some MAC stuff home if its in my suitcase in the hold? and would i be allowed to bring any MAC or any drinks onto the plane if i bought it from Duty Free?

i dont think your allowed to bring any drinks on to the plane even if their purchased in the airport.

The only item i dont think they allow is lipsticks other then that im not shure.

You should venture to some other parts of the unitedstates while your down here like san franscisco, LA,and Florida maybe not this time of year though

New rules state that you can bring drinks on the plane if they are purchased in the secure area of the airport, past the screening checkpoint. You can also bring your MAC home in your suitcase. Some of it can even go on with you now, but I don't know the exact rules for makeup. You can probably find them at tsa.gov.

Have a good trip!

check with your airline's website for the info. i think that they have changed the rule since i got back from my east coast trip 4 weeks ago. they didn't allow any drinks nor liquid cosmetics at the time. but i heard that they are more lax now. my aunt, who went to chicago a couple of weeks ago, accidentally left her l/s inside her purse and they didn't say anything.

so just double-check w/ your airline and have fun in NY!
