I'm now a part-time employee for MAC!!! I got a perm. position at the Bloomingdales counter downtown San Francisco!!! I'm soooo excited.
Basically yesterday I went to drop off my resume to the manager and she asked me if I had a model. I was a lil confused because I already did a demo and I didn't think I'd have to do it again to get a perm. position. So I ran through the mall looking for a model and I found this girl and she was able to come back with me. Did a day look, turned it into a night look. The manager said she loved the skin and her foundation and how it looked like she wasn't wearing any. Which is good cuz this girl was really really really red and she had some pimples but I covered it up without making her look cakey. She said she loved how I knew so much about the products and how I interacted with the client. The only thing she said negative was about the girls eyebrows. This girl literally had NO EYEBROWS! haha I had no idea what to do so she told me to practice a lil more with drawing in people's eyebrows.
Then she asked me to come back today to speak to the Regional Manager. I came in, spoke with her ... arrived 30 minutes early even (actually 1 hour early but the mall didn't open till 9:30). They asked me to step outside and then came out and offered me a 20 hour-week position.
Filled out my paper work and now my start date is April 2!! Sooo ne Bay Area girls ... if you're ever in downtown San Francisco come by the Bloomingdales counter and say hello.
