I like using Rx retinoids to treat and prevent wrinkles, such as Retin A or Tazorac.
I just can't bring myself to spend $ on creams that make empty promises since retinoids are already scientifically proven to reduce/prevent wrinkles and reverse photo-aging.
But I could be wrong.

I use Arbonne's NutriMinC Eye Cream. It's amazing. I've run out and need to get some more and since running out I've noticed a difference in the suppleness and softness of my eye area. It's a great product.

And I don't know much about retinoids, but Retin-A and Tanzorac are both for the treatment of acne and other skin conditions. They're for spot treatment only and having used both, I wouldn't use either around my eyes.

Retin A and Tazorac are not only used for treating acne and skin conditions. They are also used for treatment of wrinkles, sun damage, sun spots, uneven skintone, etc. (so wait, are those "skin conditions"?

Anyway, some derms dont recommend usage around eye area as it can make them dry but others say it's fine. I have personally used both Retin A and Tazorac and it's a love/hate relationship. I tell you this though, I dont have one single wrinkle on my face, forehead or eye area. My 70+ grandma started using Renova (another rx retinoid) about a year ago and the suppleness of her skin is incredible! I thought she had cosmetic surgery (oh yeah, she's a diva) until I saw the tube of renove sitting on her dresser.
Out of those 2 I prefer Tazorac cream because it gives me beautiful glowy and even skin. I also believe Tazorac contains vit. C.
The Retin A made me a peely mess and I think actually ruined my skin...but I've learned a lot about my skin and think I'm very allergic to it.
By the way I'm in my early 30s.

Yes, retinoids are available prescription only but there are other products that have retinol and whats that other one...I forget, from Avene, which is really popular. I would check out the Avene website.
I hear mixed stories from people about getting a prescription. Some are able to get it from their physicians or doctors upon request, while others (and some insurances) look at it as something "cosmetic" and give people a hard time. It won't hurt to ask though.

Unlike Botox and cosmetic surgery wrinkle creams are safe and easily applicable. Also there creams are less expensive than any surgery, injections or laser. Along with the improving moisture content of skin it gives a smoother and glowing look. They also tone up the skin after regular use. From all these we can conclude that wrinkle creams are more beneficial than any injections or surgery.
