WTF? Products with no names?

So... last July I went to the MAC counter @ Macy's in the mall in Beverly, MA.... I bought the 219 brush, a lipstick, and a lipgloss. The 219 brush is labeled accordingly byt my lipstick and lipgloss have NO NAMES on the bottom... the lipstick just says "lustre".. I had a MAC MA do my makeup and everything and i bought those as part of my $50 worth of stuff to buy.. Anyone else have this problem?? Im almost out of my lipgloss and i REALLY want to buy a replacement but I can't w/o knowing what it is!!!!

just had a look at my lip products (not got that many) and all have names on. sorry...

well sometimes the names and the mac label wear off, especially after a couple of weeks of having it, the only solution i can offer is take your product and maybe find the same color? also this is what i do i cover my makeup labels with a clear nail polish i garantee it will not come off any more

I do have a couple of older ones (from last year) where I can't read the name.

I would bring it the counter with you before it runs out so they can help you get the same one or a similar one if it was LE.

I def would but my problem is that I live in Central IL and the closest MAC counter to me is 3 hours away in chi town.... I was just visiting my ex who lives in ipswich MA when I bought these.

And they def didn't wear off... they just have NO NAMES at all.. the word "lustre" is perfect and the bottom isn't even worn... The lipstick I got Ive worn MAYBE twice.. it's just sat on my dresser for almost a year... I just thought to check it when I noticed the l/g didnt have a name on it... Ive never even carried the l/s around in a purse... the packaging looks stricktly "brand new".. theres just NO name... just the word "lustre"

Do you have a camera? If you post pictures in this thread of the lipglass and lipstick colors maybe we can try to help you determine what color it is and you can reorder from the website.

Awesome idea!! The MAC label on the tube always rubs off from my lipglasses when they are in my purse. From now on I am coating that part of the tube in clear polish.

i've never seen one with a label but no name. i have bought one that didn't have a label period. good thing its the only one like that, so i know what the name is: nympette. plus, my when my neice was a year old, she chewed on the end of gloss and ate the label off. it was LE, so i can't forget the name of that one: glamoursun.

I have purchased a LS that had a label with no name (cannot remember which one it was) and my Bamboo shadow had a label with no name. It happens. Just a mistake with the manufacturing.

If it's possible, try and take pictures and try to think of the time of year, and possibly any type of thing you can remember about the collection as a whole. If you can get that much I'm sure our lovely community can figure out the names of the products. For example:

"I am a frosty gold lipstick that was released in the summer of 2006. The rest of the collection was very 60's mod and contained mineralize eyeshadows. Who am I?"

When I bought my Otherwordly blush at my CCO I noticed the label on the bottom was not there.

if they know what's the name for the colour?

I would take it in to the store and explain that you want that shade again, and need help identifying it. Hopefully it wasn't an LE. =/

Well unfortunatley I live in Illinois and I got these in Beverly, MA. Plus I live 2+ hours away from my nearest counter :-( Sigh. I might send the pics into MAC and ask them if they can help me haha

Interestingly, our most recent shipment of "O" lipstick have labels which are marked Frost, and have the "Makeup Art Cosmetics" and address etc, but no name.

we were filling stuff on the floor and a bunch of love connection MES had no labels on the box. thankfully those you can see thru the window to figure out what they are, but when you get lipsticks and lipglass, you've gotta open it up to see what it is.
