You're probably going to be in a lot of pictures, so I think a neutral smokey eye (or really, any makeup that defines your eye) would be in order. I always am surprised how great my eyes look in Halloween pictures when I wear false lashes and liquid liner, so on days like Xmas I go for the same sort of look, toned down.

And I second red lipstick.
