My hair is kinda orange. It was dyed a light brown, than I tried bleach to make it lighter. I have no idea why I tried bleach but I did. So it's orange. it was a bright color, now it's blonde but orangey-blonde. I have Matrix Purple shampoo for brassiness but I heard it's more for yellow? I know a lot of you will say to go to a salon but I really can't afford to do so now. I still don't know where I'm going to get $400 more for rent on the first, so a professional is def. outta the question. (besides, i had many professionals mess up my hair and I also am proud to say that I perfer my hair color when I do it myself- normally)
What should I do? Should I just redye it ash? i have no idea why i didnt do that in the first place. My scalp was just so sore last night, I'm kinda scared to recolor it. Should I let it go and wash with my Matrix? Should I just color it ash? It's so awful having this hair :'(

If u totally have no way of going to a salon then I'd suggest getting a DARK Ash Brown, do not try to put any ash blonde(even dark ash blonde) over it becuz it won't help the orange.

U said ur scalp is sore though so don't touch it until it feels normal.U should be okay but ur gonna have to go dark to correct it. Afterwards u can slowly get back to ur light brown if thats what u want.Def. don't use bleach at home anymore, it's too risky. HTH!

i'm so miserbal, i'd love to go to a salon to fix it, but i really can't and i feel like a clown with this hair!
the ash sounds good. i remember years and years ago i had orange hair and the ash did help a lot. it's not all over orange, which is odd.. like just some sections but they're right in the front!

If your hair is already dry, just for now I would get a 28 days wash in color, like Herbal Essences. You can get a medium ash brown, and that will be fine. Being a deposit only hair color it won't damage your hair further. If you feel your hair is ok, go ahead and use the permanent color. You just might need a trim afterwards.

I know I am fairly new here, but I am a licensed hairdresser. Feel free to pm me anytime you need me and I will try to help you with your hair. Good Luck
