hey y'all...
i just got springsheen yesterday and wore it for the first time today.I put it over simple moisturiser.(I think i've got combo skin).but hey presto!!After less than an hour or so, i was so amazed to see that there was almost only a trace left...nearly all gone! The same thing happened to my pearl sunshine powder the other day...

Does that imply i have to wear somerthing else too or what?please help, keeping in mind that im not exactly a foundation everyday kinda person.Even if i were to wear it...occasionally...i prefer something very easy to apply...and that gives a dewy finish...although ive heard that powders go on easy but give a matte look...any suggestions?Half the stuff in the market turns orange, the other half is too heavy...!
also...has anyone tried the double day compact by estee lauder??ive heard its superb...
im dyinggggg for some tips from a pro

My advice, don't rely too heavily on other people's reviews. Why? Everyone's skin is different and products will always work differently on other people. If the consensus is a product is horrible because "a lot" of people didn't like it, doesn't necessarily mean it will be horrible for you. But anyway, that's besides the point.

I think you need to use a primer. Most people don't think they need one but I believe it's essential if you're wearing any type of face makeup on your face, not just foundation and powder.

MAC's Prep+Prime is actually really quite nice compared to others I've tried (Smashbox). It doesn't feel like a silicone slime on my face and it doesn't clog my pores like the Smashbox primer did.

You could also try Laura Mercier's Oil-Free (if you have oily/combination skin) or Hydrating Primers (if you have dry skin). Hers feel rather like lotion instead of that silky (almost too slippery) feeling that primers are known for, but they are amazing. I really like them.

I never have this problem with my blushes and beauty powders.

I apply mineral foundation then use Mac Natural MSF over it, then my blush. Maybe you could try using a Natural MSF underneath?

i've also used Cliniques pressed powders and they are also really good
