Nope I wont drop money on something that is LE that doesn't move me,...as a matter of fact I have decided that while the Beau Quad is beautiful,.. back it is going,....because it just didnt look that great on me,.. the colors were too muddy looking once on and I don't wear too much of the smokey eye look,.. Pollen is also going back,.. too much like Nylon without the kick,.. going to trade them for some D'bohemia stuff,... LE is great but Y have it if you won't wear it? Unless you plan to hold onto it and ebay it later,........the closest I have come to liking all the LE in a collection is the upcoming Belle Azure.,......

I think I spent the most money on the Madame B. collection....I passed the whole Diana Ross collection...

Hmmm,.. I liked the Diana Ross promo,..e/s quads pretty well and the micronized powders(I wish they'd make those micronized powders standard!),.. But out of the MadameB I only got two of the e/s? Do you tend to like the airy pastel-ly colors more? I noticed they go back and forth,... Diana had some bright mattes,..MadameB was soft velvetly but highly pigmented frosts,... and then to D'Bohmeia which looks like middle of the road shimmery colors,....and then Belle Azure which seem like they are gonna be bright shimmery stuff for the summer,.... I am a bright and shimmery lover,... I am almost ready to pee my pants over the descriptions of C Squeeze e/s'

a) I'm in love with everything that has some colour in it!
b) I think about the texture (everything thats frost is fine with me)
c) If the colour doesnt show up the way I like it I dont buy it

I think that the whole colour story thing goes on with the image of the person/season its related in!

Diana is a bright celebrity!
Madame B was released in the spring! To me, the spring appears very soft, all the flowers are just about to awake...
D'Bohemia stand for the early summer! The colors are brighter and match to the sunny weather...and so on....

I am so excited about C Squeeze too! I read the color descriptions and promised myself I wouldn't buy anymore LE stuff until then so that I could get all of the shadows!

I used to buy ANYTHING LE regardless if I wanted it or not but since my money situation isn't as well as it used to be I've started to buy only stuff I like.

High Tea collection for instance I only got Angelcake, Jasmine (which I need to sell because the color is ghastly on me), Oolong & Daintycake even though I really really wanted Fresh Cream. I couldn't justify it because I know I'd never wear it.

I only got ONE thing from the Diana Ross collection which still astounds me to this day, as well as only one thing from Beau (although I may give in and get Twirltone, don't know yet). Madame B is the collection that really tested that resolve, I think I got one of everything at one point

As it is I've been lucky as a lot of the new collections seem to have very very BRIGHT colors and I'm very very much not a bright person (although try to take away my Parrot and I will kill you). C-Squeeze however looks to be fun.

So yeah, that rambly post was made just to say that

I generally buy ALL the LE shadows & pigments as soon as they come out, and decide quickly if I think I'll be using them a lot (meadowland & metamorph) and buy an extra of my faves.

I'm really not into lipsticks.. so I usually don't buy those, OR blushes or cream color bases.. so I figure if I stick with what I know I like, I can buy all the LE shadows

That said, I DID buy the blush doubles, 1 lipstick from textures & a lip stick from d'bohemia) I looove lipglasses though..

I also LOVE almost ALL colors, and I can honestly say, most (if not all) colors work on me.. So maybe that's a bad thing..eheheh

I tend to focus on eyeshadows and pigments. Pigments I will usually buy up if they are LE, but with shadows I make sure I love the color. I don't usually get excited about LE blush or lipstuff.

I focus my budget on the LE first, the items I really love and look good on me personally, and aren't like anything I already own.....

Beau shadows are nice but so light I also reallly don't like one lipstick I got with beau - honestly though I've gotten too much since beau I've only worn it once. I do adore the mulch and sushi flower shadows though. I didn't buy any madame B - but I fell in love with the D'bohemia postcard. I had to have the shadow.

Madame B was the first set I was able to actually buy anything of (I had wanted LE stuff earlier but had financial restrictions (i.e. my mom hehe)) and I found it a little late and had to buy some of it on ebay. Now I'm more on top of new releases and LE stuff and it's fun to go to my local MAC and talk about upcoming stuff with the MAs!

It depends. I freelance so I want to make sure I have everything. If it's a color that I find pretty and I can work with on models and brides, I'll get it. I mean if in the end it doesn't work, I'll give it to friends. :p

I won't purchase something only because it's LE. I might buy something I'm not 100% sure of a bit quicker than I would a regular colour, though... since it could be gone next time I'm in!

Happy to say that I can resist the temptation, though I have often too late decided that I would like an LE item. I do that a lot. Have started buying more LE items than in the past though, and have used them well. I only get what i think will work for me, colour and texture-wise.

For instance I wanted a few shadesticks, but had one and it didn't seem to work so well on me texture-wise, so all the ones I wanted I crossed off my wishlist.
