of the pressed powders i like it the best. i find it does the job it says it'll do. if you have combo skin like my though you can't use it on the dry areas.

I love blot powder. I don't think I could live without it. I am prone to oily skin and it gives me a great matte finish without looking too cakey/powdery.

I really like it as well, I've got combo skin and the above poster is correct in warning you not to put it on dry skin patches. But it does a really great job in taking away shine and giving a perfectly matte look. I wish I had one! I'm using what's left of my roommate's because she's lucky enough to have perfect skin and doesn't need it

I bought Blot Powder and wasn't all that impressed with it::shrugs shoulders:: I'm sure that you may find it a god send and that's cool
It seemed to give me that "i just fluffed with powder look" and since I don't carry my fix + with me I didn't feel "finished"
I personally prefer blot sheets and only recently discovered how useful they are....yeah, I'm a little behind the times...
I hope that you <3 the blot powder

I absolutely love it! Before I used to do touch-ups with my Studio Fix and my face wound up to be heavy-ish and cakey. The MA recommended blot powder for touch-ups and so far it has been doing the job for me. I just wish thought they'd replace the puff and put the puff similar to the Studio Fix one.

It looked great on me yesterday! But that could be cos i had other Mac stuff on my face after visiting the counter, especially Fix+. I'll wear it today and then see what i think. It looked a little light yesterday though, i'm NC43 and the SA who has similar colouring said she uses medium dark so i got that as her skin looked fine and it blended in well on mine at the time aswell but it looked kinda too light last night but that could be because of my bathroom lights being too bright.

So is this great with Fix+?

I love my Blot Powder, when I went down the Carribean for vacation, even though it was SUPER hot, I didn't get any shinies. (though i do have normal skin, this may be different for oily or dry skin). I have both Medium-Dark and Dark and I am a NC40/C40 -- I usually use Dark because Medium Dark is a bit too light. Dark blends perfectly into my skin.

it really does elimanate the shine....but i don't think the colors are what they say there are because i use the medium/dark, and it's a bit light on my skin (i'm NC35)

It works great, but I prefer using a brush to apply it, it seems to eliminate the powdery problem for me.

And definitely go a shade darker than you might think, I wear medium dark and I'm probably a NW20/25 right now. Still seems a bit light if I'm not careful.

Just to clarify, blot powder is pretty much transparent....the only reason why we have a range of shades is to make people more comfortable when using it..it does not deposit any colour whatsoever...when you say it looks "light", its actually just the look of powder on the skin that gives that effect...once the silica starts absorbing the oils on your skin (after a minute or two) it will dissapear...the nice thing about blot is that you can oapply it 50 times a day and it will never buid up! plus its great to set your concealer with under the eye since its so invisible and light.....

i really like it, it is great for touchups.
i dropped mine though, HAHA, so it broke.
I still use a brush to apply it though, but i haven't used it lately.

i LOVE blot powder. because of winter =(, i am now only NC42, but the dark shade is perfect for my skintone. it blends in perfectly and stops the shine. i just put a little on my tzone and the shine is all gone. but it's not too cakey.

the only problem i have with it is, it's so fragile. i only put it in my purse for ONE day for touchups and when i came home, pieces broke off and it was all crumbly. from them on, i keep it on my makeupdesk at home, but once in a while, more pieces chip off. =(
