MAC - Holiday 2010 A Tartan Tale Discussion

There is so much I want from this collection. I've decided since Golden Crown isn't very unique that it's off the list so I've shortened it to just

• 6 Beauties Play it Cool palette
• 6 Twists of Tartan palette (if I've got the money)
• Courting Lilac Lipstick
• Family Crest Pigment
• Glamora Castle eyeshadow

I bought undercurrent back with Art Supplies. I really wish Faerie Glen was a deeper colour. They took such a great name and gave such a non-faerie colour. *sigh*

I'm disappointed with these shadows in general too. I like Glamora Castle a lot and I'm definitely getting that. I also MIGHT get Semi-Precious. Still, I thought they were going to be kick ass and they fell short for me.

you know what, the more i look at this collection, the more i want,

all the pigments, i missed out on later last time and i wont be missing out on it this time!

but the play it cool e/s palette and the one with rose b/p in may jump into my bag also by accident ....

i was at MAC the other night and they were letting us pre-perchase this collection and i saw Her Bloomin' Cheek and i about died! I am gonna have to give in and get that one!!!

I wish MAC would release a matte color like, Deepest Wish and Dark Deed, or even Cunning. Both colors being Amplified finishes seem redundant. Diva is their matte, but isn't as dark. I would love a good matte.

Wow, A Triumphant Blush Face Kit is more awesome than I thought. Totally getting that! I'm getting Fabulous Fantasy lip kit also.

Just saw the pics of the sets on temptalia, and I think they're what's really gonna do me in. I want all of them.

Color collection is staying pretty small for me. I keep adding things and then getting rid of them.

I really hope I love Faerie Glen. It looks so gorgeous.

I think I'll skip the palettes. I love the idea of Reelers & Rockers, but it doesn't do much for me in swatches anymore. So, it'll just be the two pigments and the lipstick and hopefully, a bunch of sets.

OK, just met the new interface... Really nice and clean, but I'm old and I fear change, so it's messing with my head...

It just occurred to me that if my Pro store continues in its habit of getting everything a week early, that means they'll have this collection next week. One of the MA's at my regular store encouraged me to pre-order, because she said they'll be getting a lot of some items and very few of others... just putting that out there for people, not meaning to start any panic.

I am looking at Semi Precious and Deepest Wish. That's about it. I like The Family Crest as well. FC looks very similar to NARS' Mekong, but you get more product with the pigment and its cheaper. I like Later too.

Yeah...Mekong is the same exact color...but I get so tired of having to pack and "pat" on Nars eyeshadows for the shimmer to show up. That is why I am getting Family Crest because the glitter/shimmer will show up soooo much easier and with a black gps under it will be gorgeous!!!

I really like all of the "blackened" shimmer shadows and pigments that MAC has been doing lately (i.e. Style Black, She Who Dares, Later, etc).

Darlin, what they SAY and what is actually DONE on a photo shoot are two different things.. don't be surprised at that cause it happens all the time!
