Our MAC store sold out of EVERYTHING by the end of the day, and it was just Preview Night! The official launch is supposed to be tomorrow but there's nothing left. The SA's are actually advising customers to go to the other MAC store that didn't have a preview night as there is a bigger chance to find more stock there.. its crazy!

wow that is mad! iv just gotten back from the one of the cities that has a MAC counter, and the collection has been out for a few weeks in NZ and NOTHING was sold out at all! so i had the pick of the bunch.

i was happy with the CP items that i picked up (but still waiting for it to arrive - but has just arrived in the country yay!!), and also grabbed:
Dr Facilier mirror (this is super cute, even with his strange face on it)

toxic tale l/s (Shontay you will be so proud, this is super hot!!!)

aahh lucky!! I wonder if it is allowed in other MAC stores around the world for one person to buy more than 2x of an item? Specially with these limited edition collections..

While I was paying for my stuff at the counter, one girl came in and asked for FIVE Dr. Facilier mirrors. At first she was like: "I'd like to add one mirror to my purchase pls" then: "or make that 2 mirrors".. then a few seconds later: "no, no, five!" I'm assuming she re-sells them later because what can one person possibly do with five mirrors? oh well!

I'm NC15 most of the time (a little darker in summer, a bit paler in the very winter). HOD is very pigmented on me, shows up with no problem. I love it!

So Salina, it would work well on you. Winnie, I would imagine it could disappear a little with your skintone, after all it is quite light powder, which makes it excellent for very pale people to warm up the face even in winter. That's why it was so needed, bronzer is too much for me in winter.

Well, I got my BR yesterday and I'm wearing it today, Everyone was right - it is beautiful! I think I applied to lightly, but it does seem to brighten up my face. I'm wearing it with RIS l/g and it seems to be a good combination.

I'm really disappointed, I did a CP for several things from this collection since this collection won't be here for at least another month.

Her alter image e/s was everything I wanted beautiful iris to be

Vile violet e/s goes very well with HAI

Hot house l/g - amazing but I'm weird, I like stickier lipglasses than this but over all

But than I tried the other things I ordered....

Strange potion l/g - I knew I shouldn't have tried it, I'm too pink toned for it, I just looked like a 4 year old trying her mom makeup

Revenge is sweet l/g - I just can't describe how it look on my lips, maybe like a 4 year old who doesn't know how to eat.

Wicked ways l/g - That's my bad, I usually go for light lips or nothing at all on them and this was just an experiment which failed because it is too dramatic for me for daily use (I'm a phd student and the only one in my lab that even wears makeup so a red lipglass would be very alien-like)

Fortunately for me, my sister has a much more neutral skin tone so pretty much everything I can't carry she can and these lipglasses were in her wish list for this collection I traded them with her for a mac gift card

My conclusion from this is basically everything that looks great on temptalia will look like a disaster on me! I wonder if those things that look awful on her will look good on me...

Just for reference I'm a very cool toned NW20, any e/s that is even remotely warm make me look ill.

Just edited to say that I tried Wicked ways l/g again and it looks stunning but my sister will make better use of it

I think I need to start with a lighter red maybe a luster lipstick so that it would be less overwhelming,

^ other than that, I am sorry to hear you are not happy with your purchase.. you can probably swap it or sell it tho -- those items are sold out so it should not be a problem.

and, a lesson learned for all : don't trust swatches unless you are willing to take a leap of faith and bite the bullet if the items are not exactly as you envisioned them

I knew it was a risk but I also knew that if they wouldn't be good for me they would be great for my sister (who wanted them anyway) so I sold her the lipglasses at the price it cost me to CP for them which is still a lot cheaper than she could have gotten them here so it is still a win-win situation.

yes BR is a fabuous product. and i have to use a lighter hand too because it's so pigmented!

i have other products that do a similar job of course... but i love how it feels on my skin! hee hee!
