Slightly off topic, but doesn't anyone have a in for either the Bad Fairy polish or She Who Dares MES at any of their local stores.....both of my local store and Macy's counter are sold out of these two....

On a bright note, I just got my hands on Bite of Apple, Hot House and Hearless, so I'm super-duper excited......I thought I had missed these!!

Thanks in advance for any locating assistance you can provide.....

OMG the mirror!

Every time I put my beauty powders in my purse I'm afraid they could get damaged but they're too awesome, not showing them off would be a shame…plus I need a mirror in my purse anyway..

Hun, it wasn't even IN my purse - I was holding it safely in my hands and it just popped out! I was so surprised! Maybe I just got a defective one, but I'll definitely be careful with this type of packaging next time!! Anyone else have that problem?

Geez,

That sucks about top of the beauty powder popping off.

I haven't been carrying mine around with me. I just use it in the morning.

I have BR and it is the first and only BP I own!

I use it over my blusher though - with a nice large brush like MAC's 129.

Notable has been getting lots of love with this collection eventhough it is not part of this collection.

I love both! of the mes with this collection.

One night I found myself staring at them for a long time imaging all the different ways I could use them.

They are so lovely! I've been using them with the SB gps and FQ. I've also tried them with some paint pots - dry - and by themselves - wet.

And Violetta and BoaA blush!

Not together, no, but both shades are so pretty!

AND! I love Dark Deed l/s.

As someone mentioned above, Strange Potion is a kind of odd shade for fall.

I think I will put it aside and wear it in the Spring and Summer. What a nice coral color but so odd for now!

I need to stop lusting for She Who Dares. I have a broken Laura Gellar baked eyeshadow that's dark green sparkle on a black base. I just mushed it up into a small pot and turned it into loose shadow.

I don't need it...

....I can stop desiring it now.

....really.

Well, last night the top of my Oh So Fair BP FELL THROUGH! (The mirror).

I'm sooooo sad! Thank god I make jewellery and can crazy glue it back together, because I got it online and can't return it any more and I'm sure there aren't any replacements easily available! I love the actual product, though

As for boyfriends and makeup, the one thing my boyfriend HATES is lipgloss, but not because he doesn't like it on me - it's because he hates not being able to kiss me when I'm looking my best!
blush-anim-cl.gif
lol He doesn't understand my makeup addiction very well either, but he definitely understands it's an artistic outlet and it's literally part of my meditation and peace of mind every morning as I get ready for school and work!

And yes, PhD students can DEFINITELY wear makeup. I'm only a Master's student, but I'm still the only one who will dare a bold red lip or a colourful eye! That doesn't stop me
smiles.gif
I'm also in the field of elementary education, though, and I can understand why some teachers would feel strange going to teach kindergarten done up to the nines! It's a messy (but fun!) line of work
smiles.gif
Haha my ex-boyfriend (maybe in a couple of weeks boyfriend again) doesn't like lipgloss for that reason too :p

I'm a bachelor student right now and i wear bold colours too. I'm not the only one that does wear make up in my class and we only have 6 girls! But the other girls that wear make up don't wear as much as i do.

I don't think so.... The one thing I sort of regret is Wrong Spell (I should've listened to you Shontay!

), but just because I haven't been using it as much as I thought I would. When it gets a little colder, I think I'll use it more.

Otherwise, I love everything.

Some real favorites in this collection.

You know, I had tried all of them, and none of them was quite right until Heartless and Wicked Ways! My only other MAC red is Dubonnet, which is almost a brick red - definitely darker and with more brown. Glad I held out

Yes, actually, quite a bit.

I should have stuck to my instincts on this collection; I wasn't that enthused because the packaging didn't appeal to me but I allowed hype (and too brightly lit swatches at the website that must not be named!) to suck me in.

Wrong Spell, while looking quite lovely in a swatch at the aforementioned website, just didn't work for me. It was dark enough to eat the color of lippies layered underneath but applied too patchily on my bottom lip to be worn alone. Briar Rose took too much effort to look nice on my very warm skin to be worth using on a daily basis, Her Alter Image barely showed up on my eyes, I didn't care for Vile Violet, and French Quarter looked too much like a GPS I already have when used as a base.

I don't know; this collection was really a miss for me, as was FF. I was really only happy with the two MES and two Maleficent lipsticks I bought. I should have stuck to my guns and just bought those -- then I would be thrilled with my purchases instead of thinking about how I wasted my money! (It bothered me enough that I returned things, which I hate doing unless I have a reaction to something.)

I'm also not feeling the upcoming collections, so I think I'll stick to other brands until Wonder Woman. I've bought too much this year that I never use (why, hello, ItG MES trios and LoL lippies!), so there's no use adding to my stash because of hype.

I love what I got from this collection. Both the MES, Briar Rose, Devilishly Stylish, Her Alter Image, De-Vil and Bite of An Apple were the best purchases that I've ever made.

OMG I just got my VV stuff
smiles.gif
) Called my MA on Tuesday (day of the lunch) to make sure she packed my stuff. I asked her how was the sales (this was around 9:30 AM) she said almost 75% of the collection is gone because the MA removed them for their costumers. I went at night and got all the things I wanted and more LOL. But I regret not checking the 2 dark nail polishes (checked the red one but was to sparkly for my taste). Will go again today and want to see if there is anything left LOL

*Banana1234*

I called up Westfield, and I am going to get *Wicked Ways* I was so surprised to hear that they pretty much have everything except the polishes, Toxic Tale and She Who Dares! Great headsup, thanks.

Back on topic of *regrets* mine was actually Violetta - I don't love it love it, love it - [ducks stones, rocks, bottles, missiles, empty b2ms
nope.gif
] in the tube it looks great, but on i'm like hmm this looks meeeh . I have no problem getting to the PRO store so there was no need for it! Funnily enough I really toiled with the idea of getting either Heartless, Violetta or Toxic Tale - I should have got TT or Heartless or Wicked Ways first time round. C'est la vie!

In my country people dress very very casual and in universities (and laboratories) most women wear very light neutral makeup, the heavier makeup is reserved for when we'll be grownups and go to work in the real world :p but to be honest around here in the university even most professors don't wear makeup on their face let alone eyeshadows, blushes etc..
People always look at me oddly when I wear a bright colorful eye look, but I'm learning to not really care and just wear what I want according to my mood!
smiles.gif

Just edited to add that most of my friends don't even own makeup! and it is always a struggle with my boyfriend who absolutely detests makeup and if he thought he could get away with it he would take out all my makeup to the trash!

It's about the same in my country too. Makeup looks are usually very neutral and tame, that's if they're even wearing any makeup at all. I can still get away with crazy colors when I'm in school, but not when I eventually start working. Especially not when I plan on becoming a psychologist/counselor in the future, I'll have a professional image to uphold as well.
cutey.gif

Not all men like makeup on women, but it's good that your boyfriend respects that even if he disagrees with it.
