I edited my original post to reflect the fact that I added another drawer unit to my vanity, and changed around some of the content and organization of the drawers as a result.

I really love the idea of cutting down boxes in half to store everything! I am envious of both your collection and your storage space

I'm trying to reorganize mine, because it's currently all in bags! I am definitely outgrowing the system, and although everything is grouped together, it's impossible to find what I'm looking for quickly!

Definitely post more pics once your "CD" unit is in place, and I'd love to see a collection post!

You can choose different sizes, that one fit my space best, as the bigger one would have been just a little too big.

Hey! Sorry for not replying sooner - yes, I did use rice for the containers holding the eye brushes. For the one holding the face brushes, it's two triangular containers tied together, so it sort has enough 'squeeze' on its own to hold them semi-upright.

How do you get the table top to stay without moving/sliding?

It comes with these little rubber nub things that you place on the top of the drawer units, and that the table top rests on. It won't move unless you really push it. I suppose you could also use some kind epoxy to really glue it into place, but I like that this can be changed up, if need be.
