I just caught up with the thread I am shocked at the drama! One of the things that I love the most about Specktra is the lack of drama. My opinions on the matter are nothing that hasn't been said by multiples ladies already. I would like to personally say to HerGreyness that I love you and you truly are appreciated here on Specktra for all of your hard work, kindness, and for everything that you do for us

I am highly confident that the moderators will take appropriate action where they see fit.

Back on topic, I didn't think that I would be interested in the highlighting powders, but now I kind of am. Rose Ole seems like it would be super pretty, especially on days where I wouldn't wear blush and it would still give a pretty pinky color to the cheeks. *Must go stare at highlighters in my collection and convince myself that I don't need Rose Ole*

I also found the promo pictures to be really unattractive, boo to MAC for making gorgeous girls look bad! They look so angry, and not in the cool, fierce way either. Aren't promo images supposed to be attractive so they lure in customers? I feel like if I saw those pictures up at my MAC counter at the display it would almost be enough to keep me away from it....almost

Rose Ole is looking like a strong possibility for me, along with the paint pots. The promo images certainly don't do the collection any favours - they should really be showing how the products can enhance a person's beauty rather than destroying it. Angry certainly isn't a good look either.

I'd just like to add that I personally find Momo's comments to Her Greyness completely out of order, and about as low as a person can go.

I apologize for the situation being allowed to go on for so long, as it's a weekend many of us have a later start on the forum than usual. Hergreyness, please accept my apologies for the personal attacks you had to read. I think the highlight powders will be too frosty for me, too. I'll have to see swatches, I guess.

On the other hand, I could see totally loving them.

This collection is starting to look a little more appealing, but I'm going to try to stick to 2 Felines and a lipgelee or two.

The highlight powders and grey paint pot could jump in at the last second.

I'm right behind you going to stare at my numerous highlighters in hopes of removing the want for these. Why do I always want more highlighters? They last forever, and once you have a few different versions...they all look pretty much the same when applied. They're just SO pretty to look at, and that always steals my heart. I'm a sucker for the pretty!

Sometimes, it works. Sometimes, I don't know. LOL I have bought too many cheek stuff this year. Definitely no more room for MSFs. I think I'll skip the highliters from this collection, too. Hope I will stay strong.

I don't have a big enough collection yet to lose that technique. Instead, I have to tell myself it's the highlight powder, or half a tank of gas.

I haven't been a huge fan of spring collections in the past, so I hope that doesn't change too much. I can't spend so damn much next year!

man i hate drama....i don't think anyone who actually ended up offending actually mean to offend....or maybe i work too much with ferocious women who are very straight to the point and outspoken...people have different ways of communicating and it's real hard to figure all that out...sometimes it's fun, sometimes i want to just give it all up and go be a mountain woman and live in solitude...

i think that perhaps mac wanted us to talk about their promo pic through...if i wanted get talked about and a sureshot way to go about doin' it, the first thing i would do is pop out the nips

I've been gone so long from Specktra!! Ok, so it's been really a month but it seems like more lol... I skipped Tartan so far (might go for 2 e/s if that) and I'm def skipping Marvel but I'm not sure about this one. I'm NC30 with really golden undertones so this may be way too pale (pale whitish gold usually looks really bad on me) and I'm not a frost kinda girl but I do love shimmer if that makes sense. I don't use highlighters but I would really like a lt golden one so I'm looking into the Chez Chez Lame one unless you girls can name a better way for me to try.

The lipsticks look way too light for me to try and I don't own any ligelees but these bronze ones look interesting. But I heard they're glitterbombs?? I don't want the quad but I may pick up Brule & Retrospeck beforehand for my perm collection. I do want Dangerous Cuvee (the grey pp) and Let Me Pop (the copper one) and since HerGreyness said they're just Bare Study mixed with other colors I may have to get Bare Study as well. I need Feline & the eye kohl since I adore all eye kohls and maybe try out a chromagraphic pencil. Oh, and all 3 lavender products, my new winter scent...

See, just being on Specktra & naming my interests fuel my spending sprees... I don't even need encouragment (though it's appreciated)
