Thanks Lou, its ok. I guess these things happen, i'm gonna go up to the store and see if I can do an exchange as the receipt does say returns/exchanges 30 days lol...maybe a first! Never known anybody to be successful with that over this side of the pond!

any product with any kind of mica/sheen-shimmer must be labeled as a frost.. even if it is a miniscule amount. those are the regs.

This is interesting. Does this mean that for example London Life and Cockney are mislabeled (lustres)? Or did I miss something?

^ I was referring to any powder products ... the stipulations for ls/lg can vary depending on the configuration/texture....a lustre is a more dense solidified version of a lg...

^Thanks. That makes sense. Actually I noticed that myself after I had posted my question.

Shame really because I have a strong aversion to all things frosty. I happened to swatch Marvel 1st then turned it over and saw that it was a frost. I know Temptalia said that this was sheer. I have to ask if she was swatching with one eye closed?!?!?! Maybe its the one I got but its very pigmented. That's why I picked it up. It had the pigmentation that I wished Violet Trance should have had. One swipe and I had a ton of dark purpley goodness on the end of my finger.

Dili lol.. I always wonder why people follow descriptions.. there is nothing like swatching something yourself.... unless you are buying online, then I would get comps from sources I trust.

I just read that Oomph is a mess.. lol. It is Dark blackened green... not comparable to Humid or any others. Siahi similar to 24-7 Grafitti.. Grafitti is like a 12 year old girl wearing an A cup, compared to Siahi which is at least a C cup
thud.gif

As is Marvel.. different enough to warrant someone coughing up money for it. Honestly, I am glad I just do what I do and don't have to put myself on the line for anything.

Lesson definitely learned. I will swatch and not put stock in finish descriptions any longer. Especially when dealing with eyeshadow. I'm trying not to think of what else I may have missed because of this makeup prejudice. And the person that compared UD 24/7 pencil in Graffiti to Siahi may want to have their eyes checked.

goooo Dili..

graffiti was compared to Siahi by the same site

I think there is a lot to be said for going slowly on these descriptions and trying to meet deadlines and beat the other bloggers can make you make mistakes.... lots of people might read and not even bother to swatch or compare... sad.

yes the more i see of it the more i realise i dont actually have anything like it. i have some pigments that could be sort of similar, but not the same at all. i look forward to getting it!

Im on the fence about Saffron. I can see its potential but I dont want a chalky mess. Take one guess which one I did NOT swatch in my pervious 2 trips to Pro? They are closed today and my local FS store isnt getting this collection at all. Looks like I will be making ANOTHER trip to Lincoln Rd,

Although I do agree - it makes me crazy sometimes!

Dili - I agree with you so much on the descriptions.

I too am on the fence about Saffron

I die over Ivy and Siah. If I don't get anything else these are a must since Greyness says only big girl cups can handle them.

If I get Sur, lump it in with Darkly my Dear and Notable but both are so neutral pink on my skin, I reach for them constantly, add one more to the pile.

Would Sur blush work on NW 15 skin? I don't have anything like it, I almost always wear light cool toned pinks, but somehow I'm interested in this blush, I think it's a pretty colour.
