MAC x Mickey Contractor discussion

So, the MA at the pro store where I got my MC order talked me OUT of Galabi. She said there really is little to no noticeable difference from any of the other 1298759375 fuchsia ls. (even though I know that I could tell if there was) so I'm gonna pass on that one.

I need to hear things like that. I keep looking at the photos and falling in lust with how beautiful it is, but then I have to remind myself that I just got Catharina and Gesina and chances are it looks a lot like one or both of them. I don't know why I've suddenly gotten all into hot pinks- I innocently bought Fusion Pink a couple of years back and now all of a sudden, there are a whole bunch of its colour cousins keeping it company...

For me, with both Gulabi and Mehr, I'm not 100% sure what they'll look like on me, but they both seem fairly unique to my collection (I only own 1 bright pink which is quite different, and 1 rosy nude... I know, crazy!) and I have a feeling that I will love them. If I don't, I'll sell them back on Specktra to some lovely lady who desperately needs a back-up or who misses out. Win-win for everyone!

Exactly! Plus, I just got Full Fuchsia too. But yeah, I feel like you...I am in love with that pic. She told me to to just use a different/red liner under it if I want to change all the other ls I have. But, does that work in our minds

Wow, I'm so glad that I stayed up last night to order the fluidlines, I couldn't believe they were gone by the time I woke up this morning! Online was my only real option besides calling a Pro store hundreds of miles away from me and hoping that they still had them. I knew that the fluidlines were going to be hot items, but I didn't expect them to go that fast. You would think MAC would figure out what was going to be popular and produce a ton more of them.

It is really disappointing to me that a lot of you Specktrettes didn't get some of the items from this collection online because they sold out so fast, it was only by chance that I came on Specktra and remembered that I needed to place my order late last night. With so many items selling out so fast, I feel like I'm having a flashback to Manish, only this is slightly less ridiculous.

I really can't buy makeup blind - I've got an overwhelming need to see it in person first. I was up last night and saw everything on sale, debated getting the fluidlines and then just said to myself "you're going into your usual store, which is the highest grossing store in Los Angeles, on Thurs. Chances are high they'll have this collection - wait until then, my dear."

I'm not feeling bad about it - if those eyeliners are fantastic I'll either have them on Thurs. or I won't ever really know what I was missing anyhow and I'll have more cash for Peacocky. So it's all good. I'm sure I'll be spending more than enough on makeup in 2011 as it is, hehe.

Hey ladies!

Canadian gals, I went to the pro store in Toronto on Queen Street yesterday, and they are NOT getting MC - however, of course, the collection is now online - you just have to go searching for the colours. It will be available at Yorkdale and the Eaton Centre in Toronto, and Square One in Mississauga.

I just placed my order for Mehr, Gulabi and Siahi, plus a couple of Peacocky items that were sold out at the pro store (Odalisque and Noir Plum! Apparently one of them never even came in... :S). I'm so excited - and now I can rest in peace until March!

You are a life saver for finding out this info!!!

I actually thought the PRO store would be getting it and that Yorkdale/Square One would not be. Yayyyy! As soon as I'm feeling better, I am using my gift certificate at one of these malls. THANK YOU SO MUCH JENN!!!

Wow. I really have to start stalking the MAC site/ and specktra again. Another collection I missed out on the 3 things I wanted most, Sur, Mehr, and Saffron. I give up... this pregnancy has me too hormonal, and I'm just irritated. LOL!

My parcel from the Pro Store Cologne arrived here today and I'm totally in love with Mehr. I can't wear warm toned colors, they look horrible on me. So I was a little bit worried that Mehr would be to warm for me but surprisingly it's cool toned (at least on my lips) and works great with my complexion and I think it looks so gorgeous on me that I had to order another one.

Anyone who did not get what they wanted--don't fret. Almost all sold outs on the website I have been able to get by going the day of release to either Macy's or Nordie's and buy them at the store. I really believe the sold out on line is a gimmick to get you to go into the store and be tempted to buy more. I really wanted to try the Siahi, but with both the Peacocky and Mickey collections out at the same time, a girl has to choose items she will use a lot and I just don't use green or blue eyeliner that often. I wish it did not sell out though, because I would have eventually bought it because it is so original and its a fluidline!

I just got Mehr, Yash and the quad because I may be the only person who does not have Carbon yet.

I skipped Sur because I am becoming a mineral blush exclusive Blush Hoor. I just can't bother myself with non mineral blushes because I am spoiled by the awesome color payoff and I don't think we will have to wait too long before we see a dupe.

My aunt came around to visit and I tried Mehr on her and it looked lovely so now it has a new home in her makeup bag - glad it didnt go to waste in the end.

If you have RED BRICK e/s you do not need SAFFRON. They are the same color. RED BRICK is a Matte and SAFFRON is a Satin. They even swatched the same. I went back to Pro today to try this color out and when I swatched it I have a feeling of Deja vu. I went over to the perm colors and swatched ORANGE and RED BRICK right next to it and Voila!!! RED BRICK is its twin.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm glad I never bought Red Brick, so I won't have 2 similar colors. However, I never liked the look of Red Brick, so...that can be a problem.

Pink Cult is what I am looking forward to most right now! Looks and sounds gorgeous and unique to my collection.

I snagged my Mehr last night but haven't gotten a shipping notice or anything. Let's hope we both get ours!

Thanks for the heads up! I actually gave my Red Brick away... now I gotta get Saffron. I put it on hold at the pro store. That and Sur blush and MAYBE Mehr lippie. I also put the Love Peck (Peacocky) on hold 'cause I know that's gonna go. I need to at least have one before everyone goes nuts at the other stores on Thursday.
