MAC - Wonder Woman Discussion

Even if MAC hasn't released a color story and the collection is weeks away from launching, I still think they're going to make a killing with this collection. It does suck for us who have to budget since we need to know the products, but ultimately I'm probably still going to buy a lipstick, blush, eyeshadow and/or lipglass coz I just can't help myself lol. I find the packaging outrageous, but I feel like they stayed true to the original WW.

I mean, everywhere I turn I see WW merchandise appearing [to commemorate her 70th anniversary], yet STILL naaaadaaa from MAC... its beyond silly now.

Rumor has the release date as February 10th. I have no clue how big the collection will be item wise, but apparently the products will be quite big. Haha I think I'm funny.

Watch these people [MAC] release Peacocky [3/2/11] the same week as WW or a week apart here in the UK...(((((steeeuupse)))))) [<<<<<my dad would tell me off for it, but that was me kissing my teeth]. I'm not impressed and I need to slap myself. Why am I stressing over something we have no clue about? I am not going to let MAC drive me around the bend in 2011...oooh noo no way.

And just wanted to add that I need that Justice palette as I have no blue shadows and those are beautiful and im getting the mega sized lig gloss cause it looks like fun and the nude lipstick because I like the way the tube looks.

The packaging for this collection is just so fabulously kitschy, isn't it? Too bad none of the product that we've seen look terriblely impressive. The quads, in particular, are a disappointment. Someone at the manufacturing plant must be running amok, making up ginormous vats of Deep Truth.

It's the only reason I can think of why MAC has to repromote this shade so darned often. Jumbo products = jumbo $$$ = jumbo credit card bills = teeny tiny bank balance!

I think HerGreyness stated this before, looking back, it sounds interesting: "there are skin cremes, as well as finishers for the skin -- i.e. concealer powders.. but can say no more at this time"

And someone else, maybe Em, had said: "There will also be some pigments and reflects glitter but they're repromotes"


Don't forget there's supposed to be a bracelet I wonder how big that will be! Lol.

I can't lie, I'm kind of excited for the jumbo glosses (as long as there aren't jumbo price tags to go along with them!)...I like really big applicators for my lipglosses for some reason. I just hope there are some really nice colors!

I was told that Mac will be increasing their prices by Spring.Hopefully its not ridiculously priced whether its regular packaging or some whimsical special packaging

If 'concealer powders' means anything like Benefit's "Powderflage" then I'll be giving them a miss for sure. Their SA put some on me and it just looked like I had a load of pale pink powder under my eyes - not impressed!

Pigments and reflects glitter makes me sit up and take notice, though, even if some or all of them are repromotes, as I don't have them all, and the glitters are only available from Pro otherwise.

If there really is a bracelet, maybe it could have a compartment in it for solid perfume or lipgloss so it is useful

So I'm trying to figure out what the 3rd quad will include (as really it's one of the few hopes this collection has to make me spend any money) and I think it'll be Yellow/Gold toned. The main colors for WW are Blue, Red and Gold/Yellow. We know there's a blue/grey quad and a pink/red quad...maybe the last one will fill the last gap?

I'm thinking: Pale Yellowish White, Yellow Toned Caramel/Soft Tan, Metallic Gold, and Chocolate Brown with Gold Pearl

What do you guys think we'll see in the mystery quad?
