Chanel Spring 2011

You can't go wrong with either the blush or the nail polish. But if you could only pick one right now, i'd say the nail polish because I don't believe the blush is limited edition and the nail polish is.

good thinking! I called my SA and she held the last polish for me so I picked up :D I will be getting the blush eventually as well

I finally was able to see this collection in person, man my counter is slow in getting stuff! I went and treated myself to some Chanel. I picked up the quint as I fell head over heel in love with the colours and the texture. I also picked up Precious Rouge Allure which is a raspberry red (and you know I love this types of shades).

I was hesitating between either Espiegel blush or Black Pearl n/p so I thought I sleep on it for now. Do you girls think the blush is a must have if I have Nars Deep Throat and MAC Cantaloupe? It looked sooooo pretty in person. Or should I just get the nail polish and call it a day?
For me, the blush is a must have! It's gorgeous, and the glowy JC formula is just perfection in this peachy shade for Spring. I have to say though, I think you should get both. Black Pearl is an absolutely stunning unique shade.

...that didn't help, but it was honest!

I agree-- if you can get both! I did and I'm glad because I wear them all the time. The np is very unique, and the blush is a lovely color (though a little less of a "must have" if you already have a peach).

Just need to post again about Espiegle JC. Looooove it! It's quite simply the prettiest peach blush! I wish now that Chanel would come out with a blush that's like a pinkier version of Espiegle, then my blush collection would be complete!

I was thinking the same. I would love a blush somewhere in between Rose Petale and Espiegle. I love both of those blushes

I bought MAC Peaches blush a long time ago and find it difficult to wear on my cool toned skin. Espiegle is such a gorgeous, wearable peach!!

Hello lovelies!!! I'm in snowy NYC today - blech. My husband is here on business that includes the wives, but I had a free day so I went to Inglot cosmetics to see what the hype is about - I bought a few things. Their shadows have a great texture and they have at least as many colors as MAC. Completely off-topic I know

. Anyway, I didn't bring my Chanel makeup with me, except for Bleu Celestes, which I have to say is the best set of blues EVER. I didn't want to have to leave anything in the room that might get stolen. I'm such a wuss. So hopefully I'll get back to my Chanel spring either later this week or next. I am finding that when I am working at home I don't take the time to put makeup on - usually only for church on Sundays, Saturday if I'm going out shopping or whatever, and then for work. I am in such a funk due to the weather - it totally sucks. More snow today, a bigger storm tonight into tomorrow, so our trip home will be a pleasure I'm sure. We already have over 3 feet of snow at home - enough already!!! And for some reason today, Spektra's editor isn't letting me change paragraphs. Why is it so hard to get it working properly??? Anyway, sorry to be a Negative Nellie! Glad you are all enjoying Espiegle! Katred, I love your new avatar - you look great! Cheers to ISa who will hopefully bring us all some spring!!!

^^^ Shopping in NY sounds very tempting, fun and expensive. Did you just get the Inglot shadows? I wish I could love Bleu Celestes as much as you do, it was my first Chanel quad. Hope you have a safe and easy trip home back to your Chanel Spring goodies :) (and pssst, I am having the same site issues you do, so your are not alone). I am still undecided about Espiegle, the Guerlain blush seems to be getting in the way.

Cheryl -- enjoy NYC! Bummer about the snowy weather -- I am so over winter!! Do you have lots of fun stuff planned while you're visiting?
You'll have to post pics of your Inglot haul -- I've heard good things about them. I've been having issues also with the site -- I go to write a post and when I hit send, most of the time it gets "lost" and I have to re-type everything. Not sure what is going on??

I have not seen the guerlain blush yet and espiegle rules at the moment! Blue Celeste is my second quad and I like it very much. I used it a lot for two years - I need to start using it more again.

Hi again! I can tell I'm still having issues with the editor - I can't see where my cursor is. If any moderators are watching, can someone get us the scoop on why we're all having such a hard time?

I will try to post some pics of my Inglot haul - I got shadows, 2 lip palettes, a couple of gel liners, a foundation and a couple of glosses. No blushes, brushes or concealers. Oh, and a couple of the pigments. I figured I'd better get what I wanted while I was there - who knows when I'll get back. I did find out that their online site will be up in a couple of weeks, so that's good news for a lot of people who want to try the brand. They're also opening a new huge store in Chelsea, and have 2 stores in Las Vegas in addition to their Miami store here in the US.

So enough about Inglot......

I'm also still considering the Guerlain blush - it is so gorgeous. I'll have to swatch it maybe this weekend.

Michelle, we didn't do that much as the few days were planned out for us, but when I go back I intend to see a show (either Jersey Boys or Wicked) and maybe hit Serendipity for the frozen hot chocolate, or maybe the macaroni and cheese place. So much to do, so little time. I also saw St. Patrick's cathedral which was stunning. I was soaked to the skin after a 15 minute walk so I wasn't in much of a mood to do a lot of wandering around.

I did wear my Exces RAL to the fancy party last night with a very neutral soft eye and used MAC's Play it Proper

to highlight over Petalpoint blush. It was so pretty I wished I had my camera to take a picture of it to show you guys.....oh well.

Now we're back home with another foot of snow on the ground (once we got out of NYC it was a fairly easy drive - we were 'driven', not driving ourselves). The snow is about 3 feet from the top of our lamp post in the front yard. I'll have to show you guys a pic of that too! And we're supposed to get more over the weekend, and another major storm on Tuesday.

Just shoot me now.

^^ Hope the snow goes away soon. Let me know how you like the Inglot goodies and the Guerlain blush. It has an sparkle overspray, but what's beneath it is very nice. Soreley tempted. Superbusy with work, TGIF! MissQQ, is it your last day today? Hope you have a nice celebration and enjoy being a "free woman" :winkiss: Did any of you get the raspberry lip liner? Did you like it? Have a great weekend girls. I have a big day tomorrow :D

LOL Cheryl -- Hope the snow goes away for you!! Your look to the party sounds so pretty. Too bad you didn't have a camera with you!

Bis -- what is your big day?? Hope all goes well!

MissQQ -- I bet you are relieved to be done with that job. Good luck with your job hunt!

I still haven't decided which items to tell the hubs to get me for Valentines day (he needs me to spell it out for him). I just wish I had a counter close by so I could try it beforehand!

Bis - I hope you have a great day!!!

MissQQ, I am happy that you are about to start a new chapter in your life - best of luck, and those windows are open! ;)

Michelle - thanks - I'm hoping we get some melting action over the next few days - maybe it will be a sunny (if cold) weekend! I'm sure you'll come up with a few goodies for hubby's list!!

Trying to decide what to do tomorrow as hubs will be working for most of the day.......I think some play time is in order!!!

Update: I love the Inglot shadows, hate the palette you get with them. I ended up wanting to move them to my MAC palettes, as they're easier to remove from those for travel, etc., and I ended up gouging a few of them trying to get them out of the Inglot palette. Not a great design IMO. Next time I'll just get the shadows (10 for $45) and not bother with the palette (which comes 'free', or 'filled'). Plus they're heavy. The shadows are beautiful though. Off-topic, I know.

^^ Thanks, you are right! I feel very much lighter! Have fun choosing what you want. How about some RAs, RAEDG, glossmiers, and maybe the e/s duos? Not to forget the nail polishes too! And the JCs!

I will swatch the Guerlain blush when it launches at my counter, but I hope to pass it. Exces is gorgeous, I love it on its own as well as over red lipstick. You need to refresh the page before you can start typing/loading pics. There are bugs, I hope it gets sorted out soon. Stay safe if you are driving in the snow!

Have a great weekend!

Oh, MissQQ what a great gift!! That's one of the palettes I want, but have opted to pass on for the time being (given my recent binges with Inglot, LMdB and Chantecaille). Wear it well! Enjoy your weekend!

TGIF!!! :yahoo: I had the worst week ever, and it looks like this will not be the last one. MissQQ, you have the sweetest co-workers ever! Mine would never come up with such a great gift. Let me know if you like it, it looks like a great staple. Cheryl, did yoy get the square palette? They are kinda heavy. At least you are armed now ;) Thanks for the wishes for tomorrow, I have a hairdressers appointment :D I decided to get Espiegle and the Guerlain Blush if I can find them in Duty Free. Have a great weekend everyone :)
