MAC - Wonder Woman Discussion

I think it looks less like BOA than it does Ripe Peach. I don't think anything even comes close to BOA, but I'd have to compare swatches to be sure. Edit: I've looked and they seem kinda similar. The finish to MA is different, of course. It has frost in it and BOA is a matte. On me, BOA pulls a bit red, reddish coral. It makes me wonder if I actually need MA now. Damn, that was the one thing I thought I might get.

I keep going back and forth on the Pink Power MSF, but I think it just looks too orange in the end. I really wish the bronzer was not involved because I love the other two colors I've been adding and deleting things from my list all day, but I'm going to buy some things on pre-sale tomorrow so I think I've made up my mind. It's going to be a relatively inexpensive collection for me.

- Lady Justice Quad (I already have two Deep Truths, but insurmountable is GORGEOUS!)
- Wonder Woman l/g
- Marquise d' l/s

Oh well, more money for the next one

Honestly I have a couple Russian Reds and I not only love it on me but on most of my clients too. My friend is an NC25 and I think it looks delightful on her. I am NC20 and I love it on me. It is one of those colors that is very pretty on most people IMO.
And for it being a matte it is much more creamy than say Ruby Woo.
And if you don't want to pay the extra $1 you can get it in the regular packaging for $14.50

The more I look at swatches, the more I am unsure Russian Red will work for me. Any NC25s like it?

I had a feeling this was going to be a coll where as a whole its ok and has some stand out products. I'm trying to limit myself on makeup this year, so yay for small lists.

• Marquise D' l/s (maybe a backup, I can see myself wearing this every day) Cant freggin wait! LOVE the color 15.50$
• Might Aphrodite Blush (thanks to beautyandmakeupblog's NW20 swatches) 24$
• Spitfire l/s- Such a pretty pink. I love the creamy look to it and I dony have many bolder/brighter colors 15.50$

Maybes :

• Athena's Kiss l/g- The packaging will prob hell on my small lips, but hopefully with these you just need a swipe and your good. Plus I love the color! It would look great over Spitfire. But I'm still not completely sure yet 19.50$
• Not sure about the mascaras. I already have long lashes so I need a mascara for volume. I'm a purple fiend so I was going to get the blue or purple one, but greens look great with brown eyes too. I love how pigmented they are. Cant quite make up my mind on this one.

I'm 100% with you. I was excited abou thte eyshadows and MSFs but that's over. I can't believe Christine thought so poorly of the quads. I think I'm just going to get a lipstick and/or lipgloss for the packaging. So I'm going to save LOTS of money.

I was not interested in the other quads because I just didn't think I could pull them off with my very pale skin but I was still shocked with the swatches =( !! the pictures look so deceiving =(

I've determined that what I actually want from this collection is a quad with Manila Paper, Insurmountable, Paradise Island and Diana Undercover. That would really cover all my needs. Do you think anyone would notice if I started depotting stuff in store to build my own "custom" WW quad?

the shadows are so weak. the only thing I can say about them is we may meet again at the CCO! if that! they are just not worth $40.00

I will be hauling Sea and Sky MES to pay hommage to what the Lady Justice quad should be. I will get a bottle green also. such a stronger color.


I am going to get the MA blush , and maybe Amazon Princess if I like how it shows up on my skin. I also have high hopes on Secret Identity for some reason.

that's the great debate.

Temptalia's swatches of both (she did not do the comparison post yet, which i am waiting on, i just dug for photos) both colors look like they are in the same family. the dark color in MA looks pinker and it has that pretty sheen to it, giving it some great texture. I think MAC upped the ante on BoA's coloring for this duo. And the peach part from Ripe Peach. MAC is notoriously know for re-doing colors all the time. the similarities just fall in line with all that. time we surely tell!

Well, Christine's comparison post is going to save me $40. I wanted Valiant Quad but I think I am going to just get Bottle Green and start a new Green palette. I really wanted the packaging though. I think these will show up at CCO though sop maybe I will get one then.

I am still on the fence about the mascaras. I am going to try it in store and if it doesn't go on clumpy I will get at least two. However I really want all three.
On another note, I wore my UD big fatty colored mascara last night and I had said before the formula is really dry. Well it flaked all over my under eyes and I had blue smeared everywhere. It is a PITA to get it off your skin once it flakes. So I really hope the MAC ones work for me. Now that I have tried blue mascara I NEED it in my life. My eyes just POP!

I just hope that Pink Power MSF will work for me =( Golden Lariat was too definetly way too orange to work on my fair skin , and the swatches of pink power worry me too =( I feel like its a lil orangey instead of how it looks pink in the pictures definetly very different when swatched.

I've been out of the loop for two days due to the horrendous road/storm we had. I was dreading working Wednesday with the forecast of up to 10" snow with sleet . Welp it started sleeting shortly before I left the station....roads got so bad and I got the Sprinter stuck in a parking lot of Don Pablos and sat there for 25 minutes till a passerby got my unstuck. THey finally called us all in around 5:45pm and it took me 6 hours to go 11 miles to get back to the station! It was horrible! There were cars abandoned EVERYWHERE on the sides of roads,, middle of the lanes then in the middle of the next lane.....ramps were filled with stuck cars, trucks, tractor trailers. You'd have to change lanes so many times due to cars being abandoned then you'd get stuck on the layers of ice . It was awful...just awful! We had 24 trucks that had to be towed. Some couriers didnt get back till 2am. I got back at almost midnight!! I never made it home so I stayed at a fellow co-workers house that lived just a few miles away from the station. I just got home yesterday afternoon but only enough to get a shower, get dressed and head back to work again. I"m beat....ugghh I never want to see another day like Wednesday!

Anyway so I just saw T's swatches and now I think all the quads are out for me, all the l/s... infact I guess the only thing I might get is the Pink Power MSF, Wonder Woman l/s and the blue and purple mascara. I do like Valiant e/s tho in the quad but that's the only color I like
