MAC - Wonder Woman Discussion

What are everyone's opinions on the Russian Red lipstick and Wonder Woman lipglass combo?? I don't own any reds AT ALL....... but I'm feeling adventurous and I kinda want to try one out. Would it work for my NW10-15 skintone??

So what happened with your blush - were you able to get a replacement?? Did I miss your post about it - sorry if I did.

Thanks for remembering I actually decided just to keep the refund, because I told my boyfriend what happened right when I got it and he bought me one as a part of my Vday gift

That's terrible. They should have tracked one down for you at one of their stores and had it sent to you, of course no shipping cost to you. If you decide to track one down yourself or ask them to I would ask them to wrap and re-wrap it as if they were shipping an egg.

I think you would look amazing with Russian Red l/s on. My daughter is NW15-20 and it is gorgeous on her, a little too sexy That's ok though she's 22.

I went into the MAC store today to check the collection out in person. I had already gotten the Marquise d ' lipstick and Mighty Aphrodite blush online. I left the store today with Themyscira Mascara, Prep + Prime Mascara, Penultimate Liner (the smaller one though), a 15 pan palette and the Spitfire lipstick. I am done with the collection. That was all that interested me. My friend had the purple mascara applied to her lashes and it looked awful!
I almost bought the nail polishes but I made myself walk away. I had already spent so much money on other stuff and I am trying to be more logical with my mu shopping.

Russian red should suite you really well. I'd prefer instead a warm color like wonder woman (wich is also very light and doesn't cover too much) but I think a big applicator won't work with my thin lips

Yeah, not a fan of the other glosses, but SI totally makes up for that!

I tried WW and AK lipglass and they looked horrid on me. However I can see why everyone loves the formula. So smooth and silky. SI is a big winner for me though but since I ordered that online I will wait. I laughed outloud when I got to the counter and saw how big they were.

I've mentioned before my little boy is so excited his mom has WW makeup. Well I was trying on the lipglass (at the counter they looked fine but after some wear and then getting home not so much) and said I was going to return them he was so sad. "Mommy you don't like Wonder Woman lipstick?" I had to tell him that I was getting a different color and would still have WW lipstick. I believe he thinks I'm going to turn into WW when I wear the makeup.

honestly if you dont think you'll hit pan then wha\t is the point? besides mac are always repromoting things or bring out stuff that looks the same or is better! save your money

I finally got my WW goodies. Thank you MAC for resending what UPS didn't lose.

I have to say I'm glad I didn't go with my initial plan to totally skip this collection.
I LOVE MA blush. This looks so good on. Ripe Peach on me is very so so. I've always wanted it to look flattering on me, and it is just ok. But MA is so easy, pretty, and flattering.

And Spitfire and AK are complete fun and beautiful.

But my favorite is Heroine. I am a bronze glutton, but as much as I love it, most of the time bronze lip is too orange, too red, or too something. Heroine is similar to a color that used to be my HG lipstick.
And the microshimmers in it are just stunning. I refuse to back it up, but I'm having a hard time holding strong to that.

I've already ordered Secret Identity and Pink Power

Also, I was going to say the same as EngineerBarbie. When I open the lipglass, I don't just pull it out. I twist it back and forth as I pull it out. I haven't had any flying gloops yet.

Any thought on how MA blush looks on NC 30 skin tone? I love how pigmented AP blush shows on my skin and Im really thinking of getting MA too!

I was playing with my different lip products just now and I am happy to discover that I don't need Secret Identity because I have something just as, if not better. I bought a mufe lab shine gloss in #10 from Sephora.com but I hadn't gotten around to using it. I was looking for a way to make Heroine look better on me and I dug through my stash to find that gloss. It's very similar to SI, so I don't need to debate on whether or not to get it. Now, Heroine is a bit less blah on me.

This is Mighty Aphrodite and Heroine with that mufe lab shine i mentioned. The cheeks are more shimmery than usual because I was playing with the new UD cream highlighter. I think I'll keep it closer to the temple and away from the cheekbones. I kinda like this look.

Heroine doesn't seem blah at all on you!! (I personally prefer medium or dark lip colors to light one wich are terrible on me XD)

Yesterday, I went to two counters - one in Bloomingdales and one in Macy's. At Bloomingdales, the display was almost empty. This collection is selling very fast!! I picked up the Amazon Princess blush and the last Army of Amazons Opulash at Macy's.

I'm wearing Sweet and Punchy from To The Beach, Ego from Peacocky, Oomph and Ivy from Mickey Contractor, and Army of Amazons Opulash today. Green, green, and green.

I love bright colors.
