MAC x Mickey Contractor discussion

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who does this sort of thing. There's a new face chart up for VG Gaga II, so it does look like they're continuing with them, it's just that they're not doing them as frequently as they once were.

Well, I said I'd have a go at Yash and I did. I figured that, since it's a pretty restrained colour, I'd do a dramatic eye with it and this is what came out:



I found Yash a little drier than Mehr, but still quite soft for a matte. I'm wondering if Mac isn't merging their matte and satin finishes together. Their mattes are getting less dry and they're discontinuing a lot of satin-finish colours from the permanent line.

The good news is that Yash doesn't seem to look like poo on my lips. Although I guess that poo is in the eye of the beholder in this case.

Thanks very much to all of you! Bottom line is that I think that Yash is something that can work on paler, cooler-toned complexions, it just really requires some emphasis somewhere else, like the eyes, or a bright cheek colour. I thought I was a little daft for ordering it, but now I'm glad that I did.

There is an article about Mickey Contractor in this month's Marie Claire... or Allure. Sorry, I forgot which one cause I love them both and look at them in the book stores at the same time. Try to check it out. its interesting.

cool! i shall keep an eye out :) i wonder if they will be in the uk versions though!

thanks i will definitely try to find the article...i think i have this month's allure (if it's the one with jennifer aniston on cover)...

i actually just placed another order online...this time for ivy, oomph and one of the concealers...think i must be going mad...i also picked up 'drive me wild' lipstick...they all looked so nice together in my shopping cart...

i was bummed about missing this collection online but luck would have it i found two girls who were selling oomph and marvel, which are both sold out in the US! i can't wait to try them out!

This has truly been my favorite collection of the year so far - I didn't pick up Yash (Katred, your pic does look stunning!) - I don't think I could pull it off. But I got the 4 single e/s, Mehr, Gulabi and the 2 blushes, and have to say I absolutely love them all! Bravo MAC and Mickey!!!

I agree - my fave collection! I bought backups I loved it so much! I wore Mehr yesterday - just love it so much. I didn't get Yash though
