Broke and freezing MAC account!

I cut back months ago due to lack of money. The last thing I bought at the counter was a Cult of Cherry Quad and one of the lipglasses. Other then that I bought the new Metallic Eyes Palette off MAC.com and some pigment samples from a user here. That's amazing considering I was going to the counter at least one a week when I got paid. It was easy to spend at least $75 every trip, if not a ton more ...

I have also been going through my collection to try and use things I haven't touched, and I'm only trying to purchase new things I really need or that I know for sure I'll use. And not just because their pretty. I went to the counter during Christmas shopping and actually left with nothing because I didn't like anything I saw. I was happy with myself until I got home and realized that I have needed a new Fix+ and makeup wipes for weeks now ...

I haven't officially cut back but I've always done my best to spend in moderation. My MAC addiction really only took off in Dec. 2007 and while I did buy quite a bit in the past year (certainly more than I ever had in the past) I eventually reached a point in time when I just wasn't interested in the products I was seeing. Like many of you, I started to find that the "new" products were easily duped (or exactly alike) the stuff I already owned (and to be honest...I don't own that much!)

So, for the time being, my makeup purchases have dwindled. I suppose the next thing I pick up will be MUFE 92. Because so far (Pro or not) MAC has not been able to make me a pure purple!

I'm cutting down my expenses on MAC. I sell crafts online and use the money to buy cosmetics. My boy and I are getting married next year and we need to save for that. We've 2 weddings to plan.

I've stopped buy lipsticks from MAC. I love the ones from Rimmel. They've great colours and they never dry my lips out. They're around 3,50EUR and MAC's around 18EUR here.

At the moment, I've over 20 MAC e/s and I don't think I need more.
