MAC Quite Cute Discussion

I think someone asked if the blushes were safe to use on the eyes a few pages back. The blushes were used on the eyes in a few of the Quite Cute looks on the UK site, so I'd say yes!

hhhmmm candy yum yum seems to be settling into the lines of my lips now. i have been wearing it for about 2 hours or so. i think this is best used with a liner perhaps?

My order finally arrived....at like 6.30, DHL @Home is such a fail when it comes to service! But, so far I'm definitely impressed. Miss behave and Giggly are adorable, I just did a quick swatch on the back of my hand but they are lovely! I think my standards are way below Temptalia's as I didn't find them at all powdery. They apply smoothly to me, Giggly provides what looks like a nice pink flush colour kinda like when you blush slightly, though I think Miss Behave will be more of a highlight or more of a powder to even out skin tone? I'm NC15-20 skin wise but I'm yet to try them on my face, I'll do some full swatches and a FOTD tomorrow as I prefer to do those in natural light! Also, I adore the quad! I didn't find it at all chalky on my hand swatch or gritty- but then the same was said about jeanius shadows and I found those okay - maybe I have low expectations LOL! They shades are more sheer but I would expect that with them being pastels but I do think they could be layered...again, I'll do a look with them tomorrow. But for now I'm a happy camper :eyelove:

oh i am so pleased that you finally got your order! and yay for being impressed with everything. and honestly it is always good to judge things for yourself. some people do have different expectations that change their opinions. plus sometimes if people are negative towards something it could be that they just aren't a fan of that colour or product in general and therefore it is harder for them to make an unbiased opinion about it :)

I'm an NC45 and I wonder if giggly or sakura will even show up on me. Would there be more color payoff if applied wet? I don't want to spend money on a product where in the first few weeks will have a huge dent in it due to the poor color payoff. I was thinking of using a lipstick (nyx power l/s for sakura) and a regular pink cream blush (nyx hot pink) as a base and applying giggly and sakura on top if it came down to it. They're just so cute to pass up and I don't own any mac mineralized blushes. What do you ladies think?
Aww, I hope they put it up soon for you guys, waiting sucks! I think may fall for Giggly just a little bit - it looks like such a pretty colour when swatched, and I think it will be a nice summer shade too
This is so true! I just struggle sometimes as my nearest mac store is like 1 1/2- 2 hours away so I can only be guided by reviews and my gut instinct which can be quite terrifying lol though if I like something I'll get it anyway which is what happened with QC collection, and I'm glad I didn't pass on it completely as I think I can do some 'quite cute' looks with it lol Also, I've been looking at some coloured eye primers and I think if I wanted to emphasise the colours I'd use of of those underneath ;)

Oh before I totally forget, UK ladies (USA too, I'm not sure if you get 17 over there though).. I got a really cute shade from 17 called mint choc chip the other day as I loved the green varnish in this collection and it's very similar but also very cheap! It applies okay too, only two coats needed. I applied it today and used a hot pink crackle nail varnish over the top (a very similar pink to the one in this collection) in honour of awaiting my QC goodies and it looks very pretty indeed..I might sneak a pic in with tomorrow's FOTD if I'm allowed to :)
Me either - I'd have to take a full day out just to go which would be impossible for me so online shopping is my only resource - we should totally campaign for more stores!
