I have a bit of a sweet tooth and absolutely love sweets (or candy as the americans say!). This is no good for my diet however the odd sweet is ok right?!

Personally I love tic tacs! They come in various flavours but my favourite is the lime and orange ones! I also love milky bars... well any white chocolate really. I'm also a big fan of twizzlers! But sadly we don't get them in the UK which sucks! So whenever we go to the states i try buying loads to keep me going for a while. Same goes for big red gum and the cinnamon jelly beans you guys have!

Also am i the only one that needs to have something to suck on for car journeys? I usually take a bag of rhubarb and custard sweets or the foxes glacier mints!

So what are your favourite sweets?

I absolutely love Snickers. I keep the minis handy so I don't have to feel guilty about eating the full sized candy bar. I just have maybe 2 or 3 of the minis and that usually does it for me :)

My husband is a huge sweet tooth and he loves tons of chocolate candies of various sorts and sizes at Christmas, Easter, Halloween, any time in between! lol I love a few KitKat bars and Reeses around Halloween and on the night, but try to balance it out with some fruit! I love Marshmallow filled Santas and Chocolate Eggs at holidays. Overall I am pretty good at not eating tons, though I love truffles of dark chocolate! Just a slow nibble of one that makes me feel exotic! Then I come back to reality!

I do keep a few candycanes and butterrum life savers in a plastic bag in my purse for travelling and when I get attacked with a dry throat from stores or allergies!

When you come over, Lou, we can watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory together and buy some yummy sweets! I love that scene in Harry Potter 1, at Halloween, when all the candy is on the tables!

Sigh...to be young again and eat tons of candy. Now I just look at it and 20 pounds goes on my hips!

i love crunchy bars too! they are a honeycomb centre with chocolate on the outside. very nice. however i prefer the mini sized ones because large ones are a bit too much in one go!

I also like Andes Mints. I am not sure if you get those over there. They are thin small chocolates with a bit of mint inside, like an after dinner mint, only yummier. Some restaurants put them at your place before leaving. We get them at Christmas and put them in a dish on the kitchen table to grab off and on (I have 0-2 a day, hubbies devours them!). I think mostly it is just the holidays that we indulge in candy! We get less and less trick or treaters, too, so we always have tons left over and I got from handing out 3 bars to each kid to 6 or 7. The late comers get spoiled. lol And they can only come from 6-8pm, then lights go out in homes as the town has a curfew on trick or treating, which I love. Grab a candy bar and watch Hocus Pocus and Sleepy Hollow! Our tradition!

oh no we don't have those in the uk! we do have after eights though which are squares of dark chocolate that are filled with a mint cream filling. they are really thin so a couple is quite nice! and yes during the festive period me and nick have bowls of sweets out. but he always sits there eating them all in one go! bloody man!

Hee hee hee...I hope you mean bowls of sweets and not bowels, because that would be so Marley, Dead as a Doornail, sounding!!! After Eights are here, too, and yes they are similar. We actually have an odd little store nearby that sells English fare, though it looks more like a office building than a store as they mostly do internet business. They had tons of candy and all sorts of food, including things in tins and puddings and teas, though most English teas are easy enough to get over here. No bit and bobs, though, as I had hoped to pick up a cute tea set or something. (Note my use of British words thanks to watching many British movies!) lol Impressive, aren't I. That is what happens when you watch too much Cash in the Attic episodes!

oh my word!!! i can't believe i got those words muddled! how wrong did that sound?! i have changed the spelling in my post - the chocolates are kep in bowls - 100%!!! lol! i am loving that you are using english terms! we have lovely tea sets here! there is a store called lakeland and they sell a tea set that is a teapot and cup in one! very random soudning but very cute! and we have sites that sell american sweets here too but the prices are over double what they are in the states! i know they have to buy them in and make a profit - but that much profit? heck no!
