I have truth&light but it makes me look kinda tannedand I don't like that. I love the formula though, so I'm looking forward to trying something more suitable for my skintone.
Now that "winter" is over where I live, it's time for me to put away the Studio Fix Powder- I really need to pick up MSFN soon! Everyone in my family swears by it!oh yes, you need to try the msfn! they are awesome too!
I posted a comparison of all 3 in the Future Face thread, but short version is MSFN gives the most coverage and looks the most "formal", but also feels the heaviest, Careblend gives the second best coverage and feels the most weightless and non-reactive for sensitive skin, MCLP is least on actual coverage but best for something fun feeling and for "glow". Also, for oily skin, Careblend keeps the shinies down the best, but is less matte finish than MSFN.Completely sold just by that! Those are my biggest concerns when it comes to foundation. I may have to try Careblend eventually, too. And I still have to try MSFN. I should just do a gigantic powder haul one day.
as allura said they have a nice sheen. they are not mineral based though - they're water based! hee hee!Help!
ah ok! well with the next one i buy i shall be sure to keep the foil lid handy! and i shall be ramming it with cotton pads!Yeah, not removing the foil lid and using cotton pads to keep the lid down is essential to keep the powder fresh. I haven't used mine in months as I hate how it feels on the skin. I'll prob try again soon when the weather gets nice so the powdery effect may keep the oilies at bay. I love the wet feeling when you apply.
I think it was Shontay who originally mentioned that the cooling sensation isn't as obvious as when we first got them. i wonder if it wear away over time? also you have to be careful not to apply too much of the powder because otherwise it has a tendency to ball up!
oh another good tip! thanks!Mine's about the same still in the cooling department, but it seems like it's not diffusing onto the skin as easily as it used to, but only by a very little and admittedly I've been using a different brush lately and my spring skin is quite different than my fall/winter skin texture.
I didn't keep the foil, but I keep the jar inside the box at all times when not in use so light doesn't get in. Also I give the jar a really good shake before I use it to mix everything up well inside. I think that's helpful.
did it have a foil thing over the holes in the tub? i don't remember!Uh, foil? I don't remember it having a foil lid. I loved using mine as a highlighter on my cheeks, I will try it all over.
I haven't used it in months, so I don't know how it is performing now. I'll check this week and report back.
